Alright so I'm finally getting around to finishing this up, so where I left off we were basically finishing our walking tour and having sketchy drinks by the beach, the next day we were cruising around town and the main strip is extremely crowded, as you can see vvv
And we stopped at one of the places advertising a dinner and a beer for 10 euro or whatever it was a person, we sit down and they don't exactly speak English very well or seem very friendly, but I can't fault them for not speaking English well I mean we are in Spain, but it was still very difficult to communicate. And these two guys sit down at the table next to us, and the waiter comes over and they want the same thing we were getting basically the meal and beer for 10 euro, but they say they want it without the beer and the waiter gets FURIOUS and says get out if you're not drinking! Which quite literally made no sense because they were not asking to pay less they just wanted water. Anyways we also went to another McDonalds along this strip, lol. See it comes up again but McDonalds are very useful when traveling, anyways we buy something small because if you didn't know you don't get to use the bathroom for free in europe, but we get the slip and it allows us to go to the bathroom. And at the bathroom is a guard who checks your pass and allows you to go in, which seemed funny to me. We also went to this really crowded market but I didn't get any pictures, ah well.
Then more cruising around:
We got a big jug of Sangria from this man who seemed extremely happy to be doing his job, and it was only 10 euro for the whole thing.
Then classically my sister wanted to look at clothes, so we did
and more sights
Then at night we went with out hostel to see this light/fountain show, and then we went drinking
The next morning we went to Park Güell which is quite a subway trip out of the city and then a hike up a steep town, and then a hike up a hill on top of that town, it's a lot of walking. I would have never found it without her anyways lol.
the views are pretty dope at the tippy top
(hike up)
We didn't know until we went there that you now need a ticket to go in (lame) so we just saw the outside portion
Then we went back to the place we saw the light/fountain show the day before and went in the museum, it was interesting but all in Spanish.
We then trekked to their former Olympic site, which was pretty cool to me.
the entrance to it, (this is a sweet picture amiright?!)
Here I guess is the Olympic sculpture of some sort, it was kind of falling apart but you can't tell as much from this far away
Here we are there, and there's the thing again at a wider picture showing the whole grounds
Our last thing was going into this monks church thing that was hidden along the side of a street
It was a once in a lifetime trip, made more special by the fact I was able to do it with a sibling. :)
As always, thanks for reading. Upvote and follow me, and if you can resteem! Stay tuned.
