LEARNING TRAVELS 2017

I and my companions were asked to travel and find architectural structures and so we did !

While doing the task, I realize that I don't need to go farther just to look for architectures that represent periods because what I was looking are right here in my local and native land. If other countries have their own architectures famous for intricate designs, my country has also so much to offer. The only difference is that other countries were cradles and originators of some periods but when we talk about architectures patterned according to some periods, my land has also something to offer. However, I cannot deny the fact that I am also looking forward of visiting these places to personally see how great and amazing these architectures are.

I really want to experience how it feels to pose next to an architecture famous for its style and design. I want to make myself and the other significant people in my life and say, "Hey! what I just saw in the book years ago is right next to me now. " And, I know that with God's guidance and through educatoon, I can make this happen.

Moreover, before I would just be curious why each architecture here like churches have varied designs when in fact, they can just have one for all. Noe I understand. It's because each architecture is patterned to a period that influenced it. To share, it's kind of funny to think that right now, it has become my automatic habit and instinct to identify first the period that has influenced the architecture and work of art whenever I see architectural works and other works of art. I am really grateful to my teacher and to this course because both taught mr to appreciate the simplest things on earth and both exposed me to the chance of becoming a great artist.

Before, whenever I see architectures of any kind, I always do not give too much appreciation. Yet right now, I'll be more more grateful because I'll always put into mind that the architecture I see right in front of me, no matter how plain or small it is, was never done in a day. It is never just mere placing if concretes, not just about constructing, like pounding woods with hammer and nails, rather architectures have also gotten though basic construction systems like skeleton and others. While strolling looking for basic construction system, I also felt amazed of how architectures are done in a way as to look classy and concrete. I personally saw how art serves its function of providing stability, strength, and protection to the people. i am proud of our engineers, carpenters, and some other artists like construction workers because they're doing their jobs to the expense of risking their lives.

Right now, whenever I bump into a cantilever, I would not just use it to protect mysekf against rain and heat. I'll now identify it as its type and appreciate its useful function.

Lastly, the experience was worthwhile. My favorite part of the wandering was when I experienced how to pray in a Chinese way. I and my groupmates went to Taoist Temple and wished using stones which they consider sacred.

Experiencing things like this with new found friends is truly amazing. You get to know their stories like some architectures which also have own stories.
