This is us: the gringo goes to Panama (Part 1)

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

After only sleeping 3 hours the night before, we woke up excited and running on pure adrenaline. We made sure to arrive at the airport at least 2.5 hours before our flight departure to avoid any problems when going through security. Guess we weren't the only people that had that bright idea when traveling around the holidays. We barely had enough time to grab a quick snack before boarding our 6 hour flight to Panama.
Here is a little tip in case you were unaware regarding your passport and traveling outside of your country.....
My boyfriend's passport expires March 30, 2018 (exactly 3 months from the day we left) and we were both unaware that by law Panama requires your passport to be valid for 3 or more months before expiring when entering the country. We were so lucky that he barely made the cut off for entry into Panama. It would've been very disappointing knowing that I would have to spend this trip with out Jason and wouldn't be able to show him the beautiful country that I call home.

It's been two years since I visited Panama and a year since I saw my family so you can only imagine how excited I was to be going back home.

Since my family doesn't live in the city, my closest friends were at the airport anxiously waiting for our arrival.
Knowing that we had a very early flight to Bocas the next morning, we grabbed a quick bite with my friends to catch up and have some good laughs.

Here is the gringo on his way to Panama haha (first time)!
