Yesterday we wanted to go somewhere new
At least new for us, as in we didn't go there yet here in Budapest. There's still a lot to discover here, and as the weather is quite nice these days, we thought it would be a nice time to find new things to see. I looked up the best markets in Budapest and found one that we were actually planning on going to yesterday, until I forgot the name of the market, and found this one instead. The great market hall its called. As we love markets, we thought this would be a nice opportunity to actually find something we like for once (because we never really get the satisfaction we're looking for when we're shopping here).
Only a short subway trip and a small walk
Funny thing is that we have been standing in front of this huge market hall before when it was pouring rain like crazy! We had been sitting on a terrace enjoying a drink and the nice weather, followed by a small meal at Burger King. When we walked outside the weather changed lol. So we stood under the roof across the street of this building that was unknown to us at the time. And it was also closed as it was Sunday. Now we know what's inside, it's really huge.
On the ground floor, you find food, food and more food lol. When you enter the first floor you will find clothes, bags etc, but also food stands where you can eat all kinds of food if you're hungry. We saw a sign with "Aldi" going down the electric stairs, but first, we passed a lot of fish shops (smelly!) before we finally entered the Aldi.

The picture was made from the first floor where we stood in front of a food stand. I didn't really notice that it was a nice picture until I got home. So if you're ever in Budapest, and love markets, you should pay this a visit. You will feel like a tourist though, it's very crowded and I heard a lot of Dutch-speaking people around me lol.
Love the markets.
So good.
Always great to find new old things at markets

Haha I love those too, but this was all new, nothing second hand. I must admit that I'd rather bump into a market like that because there you can find these hidden gems, nice antiques that may be worth a lot :)
