Leh is a district town of the indian state Jammu and Kashmir.Leh is a capital of Ladakh Himalayan Kingdom. Leh is a high dessert city in Himalayas and the most expencive city in the country.
Mountains dominate the landscape around the Leh is at an altitude of 3,500m. The access roads include the 434 km Srinagar-Leh highway which connects Leh with Srinagar and the 473 km Leh-Manali Highway which connects Manali with Leh. Both roads are open only on a seasonal basis.
Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport is an airport in Leh. Leh Airport has been named and nominated as one of the world's most scenic approaches
