My first travel destination this year was in CALAGUAS. Calaguas is a group of islands in the Pacific under the jurisdiction of the town of Vinzons, Province of Camarines Norte, a merely two hour boat ride from the mainland. It boasts of powdery white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and unspoiled natural resources, a place where you can truly relax while enjoying the pristine beauty of the place.. I was still amazed by its beauty, it was indeed a paradise. I will surely be back in this paradise.
Let’s start with our travel going to Calaguas.. we depart from Alabang, Muntinlupa 11 pm and arrived in Paracale at 5:30am with private van, we start our day in candists Restaurant we ate breakfast and prepared ourselves to travel in boat. candists kitchen
Our bags and other things was placed in big plastic bag. The waves are high and big so there is a possibility of getting wet. The banker also head us up that we can dipped because of the high waves.
We traveled 2 hours boat ride from fish port in Paracale to the Beach of Calaguas. It was truly amazing riding in a boat. This is not my first time riding it, but seeing the beauty of the sea in camarines norte it tickles my heart.
After a 2 long hours boat ride we reach the Island of Calaguas. We are amazed by its crystal clear water and its powdery white sand, there are no rocks like other beaches, the sea water is so clear that you want to drink it even if you know that it was salty haha.. All the tiredness that you felt from long travel was worth it, after you saw the clear water and the white sand in calaguas. You only had a smile on your lips, a tickles in your heart and just said “WOW, so there is a paradise like this in the Philippines” Though it was not the only paradise in the Philippines but this is one of them..
And were here in calaguas take a quick picture and prepared for lunch then island hopping,
We travel to another island beside calaguas island, it take 10-15mins boat travel. It was another breathtaking island like calaguas. We take a lot of photos and swim there, you can trek at the top, and there is human made stair for tourist you just need to pay an entrance fee for 25 pesos per person. Since we don’t have money in our pocket we just look at it and take only a picture at the beach :D .. don’t forget to apply sunblock for skin protection.
We go back to the Calaguas Island at 5 in the afternoon its about sunset.. and it’s a good time when you take a picture and swim because the heat is not that strong compare in the noon. We take a lot of pictures, the sunset was so beautiful it was really amazing..
Accomodation..
Since Calaguas was a remote area, and we need a cheap accommodation they offered a tent for only 300php. Don’t expect to have a signal in this island, the power supply was in a generator. And it was very limited. So don’t forget to pack a power bank for your gadgets.
I will try to take a picture of the moon in this angle haha
The next morning. We go trekking. It takes 15-20 mins walk … there’s also an entrance fee if you want a beautiful view. Since again we don’t have money in our pocket we just take a picture in a free area the view is also beautiful .. just explore the area and you can take a beautiful picture too..
They are some my highschool classmates from cams norte we make a chance to see each other again after 12 years
If your a foreigner and plan to visit in the philippines dont hesitate to visit calaguas.. it was worth it i promised :)
