Morocco, the first country on my African journey.
My "knowledge" of Morocco is only because of a "Saharan story", but in fact it was Ayoun of Western Sahara.
I began to wonder, is this country with many monuments also linked to poverty, hotness, dark skin, primitive tribes, etc.? To be honest, these points are Africa in my impression.
When I landed in Casablanca for more than ten hours, the country was a little different than I thought. After going all the way from Casablanca to Marrakesh, Fez, Chefchaouen and Rabat, I can responsibly say that this Morocco in northwestern Africa has subverted all my imagination, no wonder many people say it Is a "fake Africa" country.
To the west of Morocco is the boundless Atlantic Ocean, to the north is the full-featured Mediterranean Sea, and the famous Strait of Gibraltar is separated from Spain. To the south is the Western Sahara and the Sahara Desert that I long for.
As an Arab country, Morocco has a large number of Western buildings in addition to the traditional houses everywhere. The most representative city is Casablanca, the largest and most famous port city in Morocco.
The European style of the capital, Rabat, is also very strong. The traditional culture and architecture are well preserved. They should be the ancient cities of Marrakesh and Fez, which are very popular with tourists. My personal favorite is Marrakesh, which is one of the four imperial cities in Morocco, and the Arab enthusiasm impressed me.
Walking on the streets of any city, in addition to Arabic and French, many street signs are online in both languages. The economy is at the upper-middle level, and it is a wealthy and relatively free country throughout the African continent.
The first stop is Casablanca. The Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic Ocean is truly magnificent.
The second stop is Marrakech. This is my favorite ancient Moroccan city. The bustling square and the quaintness of the bazaar make me feel like I have entered the dream world of Aladdin
The third stop is the ancient city of Fez. With over 1,000 years of religious, cultural and artistic development, it has become the oldest imperial city in Morocco.
The fourth stop was Chefchaouen. Morocco has a "blue country" saying that it may have a close relationship with Chefchaouen, an internet red town. Although this small town attracts a lot of tourists in blue, what impresses me most is the hawkers selling marijuana. I also wrote a travel journal specifically when some netizens said that I was making rumors. In fact, Morocco is the world's largest exporter of cannabis.
