Zimbabwe is a beautiful country with many hidden jewels currently free of hordes of tourists and is relatively cheap. Just a few places to see if you ever find yourself there:

-Chinhoyi Caves, one of the biggest limestone cave systems on the continent

-The Matopo Hills near Bulawayo, a region with breathtaking vistas and granite formations

-The Eastern Highlands, a beautiful mountainous region with cool year-round temperatures, beautiful hiking spots and amazing waterfalls

-Gonarezhou National Park, which has one of the highest wild elephant populations on the continent
-Great Zimbabwe, an astounding early settlement built with unmoderated stones. It is where the country derives its name from.
