Hi steemians! today I want to share with you a quite extensive tour I made witth a couple of friends to four wineries in Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California it is going to be a long post because there is a lot of information I want to share with you.
Everything started like this our seats reserved with our names
HAPPINESS WAS ALL AROUND
Enjoying onw of the nicest roads in México.
A couple of weeks ago some friends and I bought a tour from Tijuana to Valle de Guadalupe wich included the visit to four wineries with tastings and a buffet in a place with wood burning stove, we thought it was a great idea because making this tour independently would be more expensive.
We started to see the vines in the road, the trees in the side are olives! you can see this all over the road, in this place you can see very interesting vegetation and without a doubt this is a very special place.
These are the fields of the first winery we visited L.A. CETTO this wine distributes in 17 countries around the world! Proudly mexican!
First we tasted a couple of white wines starting from less to greater intensity.
Then the red ones I must say my favorite grape is Cabernet, I´ve never liked sweet wines.
Then we went to a place called SOL DE MEDIA NOCHE where they make many different kinds of cheese, bread, jellys, sauces and many more things.
When you just get in they five you a little table with 10 different cheeses and some salad with the house dressing and in the inside there are many bars where you can go and taste the different breads with the jellies and sauces and the algo make 4 different kinds of wine.
I highly reccomend this place, you can buy anything you like, you can find HUICHOL art, and some other souvenirs, this place is for the great cheese and wine lovers.
Over the road you can see many little shops of wine honey, sauces, olives, natural beauty products and other things....
Then we went to eat, finally! We were all starving and a little drunk for drinking a lot of wine.
The food was very mexican we had chicken with mole, pork skin with green salsa, rice, beans, and beef meat in a red sauce with natural jamaica water.
Then we went to EL CIELO a beautiful place and on sundays there are many activities like flamenco show, stepping on grapes, golf carts all this because august is the month of the wine.
It was so hot that all we wanted was to find a place with a nice shadow, it was all crowded.
But we were patient and finally got a table under an umbrella so we had the coldes white wine bottle and we could enjoy the evening.
And last but not least... LA LOMITA
In te way to the restaurant you can see the vines and grapes all over the place about to be ready to harvest.
In this place we also had a white wine bottle to refresh ourselves
And this was the end of our little trip I hope you liked it and learned something new I really had a great time! Without a doubt it was a delicious day that I must repeat soon!
Cool photo story!
