BASE Jump from local Antenna!! Sketchy!!!!

in travel •  6 years ago

Can you handle barbed wire in your face? What if you fall on the climb up?

Either way, it's too cold to go to 13,000ft for a skydive at the moment, so sub 300ft is preferable in these heinous UK temperatures, sooooooo lets go find a nice little Pylon to lob off!

I don't like wearing gloves as I get paranoid my hands won't have as much grip climbing the pylon, but the metal was so cold I had no choice. It was more than enough grip but I didn’t feel good about it. I removed them for the BASE jump.

Some of you watching this might think jumping from an Antenna in the cold is a scary idea, however, let me tell you now, CLIMBING the Antenna using the outside ladder is scary, more scary than the jump 100%.

The jump is the fun bit, the getting up to the top is pretty intense, but that’s what make a BASE jump. You don't have an 'easy' BASE jump, you have to suffer all the surrounding fear that comes with it, then you have earned the jump. When you land it is worth it.

THIS IS NOT AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO, I AM NOT A BASE JUMPING INSTRUCTOR. IT IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT GO AND ATTEMPT TO CLIMB AND JUMP AN ANTENNA BECAUSE YOU SAW MY POST.
