WE FOUND ANOTHER CRANE TO BASE JUMP - WOOHOO!

If they are going to put up cranes in the playground then of course it wont be long before basejumpers find out. In this case it was a matter of days for us.

As locals we jumped this crane before any outside base jumpers came and jumped it. Once the word of a new object gets out, it doesn't take long before every base jumper wants a piece of it. When that happens, the object gets hot and eventually burned. 'Burned' is a term us base jumpers use when an object is no longer jumpable as security are all over it because they know its been jumped.

245ft beast. I mean if they are going to put it here, we are going to jump it...they really should know better.

So, as much as I'd love to detail the ins and outs of the base jump, as usual I will choose my words carefully seeing as this is a public forum.

Here is a photo of what the exit looked like right before we jumped.

You can see I have tied on my paracord in preparation for my Static Line base jump. Originally I was going to freefall it but as mega fog came in and clouded our vision, I decided that was no longer an option.

The lights down below provided a perfect landing strip for us that lead straight into a CLOSED bus lane, it was like these kind builders laid it all out for us....very thoughtful.

Gear check up top under our red lights so we can remain as stealth as possible.

Here is what the walk out looked like, the crane was swaying as there were a few of us on it and at 245ft it moves...quite un nerving and you never really get used to it. Its part of the fun as you are all shitting yourself haha.

I watched a couple of mates jump, and waited for some others to jump as they chose to jump from the other side.

I waited for his parachute to open before climbing over the rail myself and jumping.

As per usual I was left to go last, I'm always the last one up there on cranes! Got some really great mates.

Ok so after some communication with our ground crew on the floor, I got the all clear to jump.

I was the last to touch down, and ran it off nicely as there was no wind.

Once the crane is gone, I will upload the video edit to dtube / steemit, but for now its only available for other UK basejumpers to view on a private group.
