If you come to Gomel with your child, be sure to take it to the local Puppet Theater (Pushkin Street, 14, Gomel, Belarus, 52.431859, 31.012377), you will get real pleasure! This theater exists in Gomel since 1963 and is a real landmark of the city!
Puppet theater is one of the best buildings in the city. On a facade of the building of theater there are fairy-tale watches, which play magic melodies every hour. And Pushkin Street, adjacent to theater, is the pedestrian zone, free from cars.
At the entrance to theater there are bronze sculptures of heroes of the fairy tale "Gold Key or Buratino's Adventures": Karabas Barabas, Buratino, Malvina and poodle Artemon. Fairy tale characters, familiar since the childhood, as live bewitch the children, who come to the performances and adjust them in advance on the atmosphere of magic! This is the ideal place for selfies with fabulous heroes!

Factoids: Gomel is a city in southeastern Belarus. On the Sozh River, the 18th–19th-century Gomel Palace is now a museum displaying paintings, decorative arts and weaponry. The palace sits in the lush surroundings of Park Ensemble, along with the classical-style Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, consecrated in 1824. Just north, the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory displays vintage aircraft, weapons and uniforms.
