Old Belize at mile 8 on the Western (George Price) Highway is a
marina, musuem, restaurant, gift store, and home to the family
friendly beach of Belize. A man made beach with waterslide,
swing rope, inflated trampoline, and a nice gradually sloping
beach into the salt water. It is a beach, water park, and sunning
destination to be enjoyed.
You can be served on the beach from the restaurant,
but I don't recommend it. You are better off eating in
the restaurant, and going back to the beach. They
haven't got the logistics of getting food and money
back and forth from the beach.
There is a bar that sells natural juices, water, and
your favorite beverage. I suggest putting some snacks
in your beach bag just to keep the kids happy.
It is a great family spot, and many cruise ship passengers
end up here on their tour of Belize
