Snowy Austria

in travel •  7 years ago

Today was a beautiful snowy day in Lower Austria, so I decided to go out with my daughter and my dog Momo for a stroll. I wanted to share these magical moments with my Steemit community, especially the people that live in the tropics and do not get the chance to see winter's snow!

This large house used to be part of a textile factory, today it is a museum which can be visited in the summertime.

On my walk I came across a little frozen pond, with a pair of swans and some little duck enjoying the water.

I took some close ups of the swans

Again the swans fascinated me in the winter, usually one sees them in summer on the lakes

If you look carefully, in the distance you can spot Castle Weitra

And finally, a snow covered bridge

I hope you got to enjoy these snowy pictures, of a magical winter world in Austria!

I am glad I got to share it with pictures. Thank you for the comment.

I think the snow covered bridge is such a simple photo, but so picturesque thank you for sharing your day with us. I am now following you.

I really liked the dark and light contrast of the bridge picture, it almost made it look like a black and white picture even though It was taken as a color picture.

That dog was super cute! I love snow. Thanks for the post @bernardino

Thank you! He is an Australian Shepherd, Black trio. I enjoyed sharing the pictures.

Must have been a really nice walk with the crisp fresh chilled air, the crunch of the fresh snow underfoot, the breeze and the silence. I live in the tropics. Your post, the narrative & the photos brought back beautiful memories of winters past. Looking forward to experiencing winter either at the end of this year or early next year.

Thank you for your kind comments! As you said, winter does have it's beauty too!

Great Captures!
The bridge is especially cool... I guess quite literally haha. Thanks for sharing and steem on :)

Thank you.

People living in tropical countries like Philippines dreaming this kind of scenery and weather. I am living in Phils but had the chance to work and live in Japan. It was a dream come true seeing snow falling from the sky. But after that, I don't like too much snow anymore 😂.

Baby girl has her guard Momo. They are cute!

Her guard Momo, is very protective of her :) Thank you for your kind comments. I will follow.

I'm looking forward of your future posts specially Momo and this lil cutie girl.

I'm an Austrian photographer myself! I've been in Weitra a few times.

Then you know of it's charm and beauty. Thank you for your comment :)
