Seychelles! 🌊🏝

"Paradise on Earth" is what the Seychelles are called. Seemingly forgotten out in the middle of the Indian Ocean, a thousand miles from Africa, this archipelago of 115 islands stretches for hundreds of miles. About 80,000 Seychellois call these islands their home.

Island names such as Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Aldabra and Desroches have enchanted travelers for years. Whichever way you turn, there is a lovely beach and clear waters.

Seychelles is a mixture of different cultures and there is no main religion on the island. The Seychellois culture is fed by the diversity of its population. African, Muslim, Tamil, Chinese, French and British all live peacefully despite their different origins.

With an average temperature of 27°C, and a range that rarely drops below 24°C or rises above 32°C it is rarely too hot and almost always perfect beach weather.

Of course, like anywhere in the tropics it does rain, but showers tend to be brief, lasting just a couple of hours, and are often localised to one island or even just one area of an island.

During the year the driest months are between May and September, with the wettest weather in November, December and January - but even during these months there will be plenty of sunshine before and after the showers.

The underwater world of Seychelles is as lavish as its landscape. Beside magnificent granite formations there are also colorful coral reefs, which are perfect for diving or snorkeling. Underwater you meet parrotfish, barracudas, snappers, morays, clown fish, trumpet fish and so on. If you are lucky, you will discover free-swimming turtles, mantas or reef sharks. Between August and October there is the possibility to spot the most majestic animals underwater, the whaleshark.
