This little known historical park outside Kanchanaburi dates back to the 13th century, and holds some remnants of Khmer-style structures.
MUEANG SING
Due to the age of the structures, many of them are nothing more than ruins. However, one or two of the larger buildings partially remain. Once, this city served as a stronghold for the Khmer Empire to protect against attacks from the West. There was also an impressive temple built for the Hindu God Shiva.
The grounds are well cared for and if you have an interest in architecture or history, then this is worth an hour or two if you are in Kanchanaburi district.
