OXOX 創意漢堡華航店 Review

From the pictures for OXOX創意漢堡華航店, the burgers and prices looked pretty good. I got the #1 combo; cheeseburger, black tea and french fries for NT$149. Then I saw an advertisement for their milk crispy donut for an additional NT$29, so I went for it. I'm glad I did.

Donuts 10/10

Wow! This is one of the few places I've ever been to where they make donuts FRESH! You know when you have a fresh donut because it's very hot. The donut was very crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside. It was a symphony of textures. The donut itself wasn't too sweet, which is just the way I like it.

French Fries 9/10

The french fries were made from thick slices of real potato, seasoned well, crispy on the outside while still soft on the inside. It's really hard to ask for any more from a french fry, so this place is solid

Cheeseburger 7.5/10

The cheeseburger had american cheese, thousand island dressing, lettuce, tomato all on a fresh baked hamburger bun. Overall, the burger was pretty good, but the quality of the beef patty they used was pretty low. The beef patty you could tell was from a frozen patty with not much seasoning. That's the main component of a cheeseburger so it brought my overall rating down, while all the accessories to the cheeseburger were pretty good.

Overall, the burgers OXOX創意漢堡華航店 are really if you don't really focus on the patty. The best thing you can get here is the donuts so stop by and do yourself a delicious favor!

Money In Taiwan

Tax Is Included In The Price

All displayed prices in Taiwan are the actual price. Tax is already included and for large purchases, tourists visiting Taiwan can get a 5% Taiwan VAT refund at the airport Tax Refund counter. Some shops offer this service too, but they will require your passport.

Taiwan Is Cash Only (For Most Small Shops)

The primary payment method for all transactions in Taiwan is cash. It's very rare for small shops to take anything other than cash. It's more common to see places accept the Taipei Metro Card as payment rather a credit card.

Supermarkets and convenience stores in Taiwan (7-Eleven, Family Mart) do not accept credit cards (at least not American credit cards). You can only make purchases by cash or by using your pre-loaded funds on your EasyCard.

Using Credit Cards in Taiwan

If you want to use your credit card in Taiwan, make sure to check if a restaurant in Taiwan accepts credit card in advance. When a place does accept credit card, it will typically be Visa or Mastercard. It's extremely rare for a place to accept Discover and American Express. UberEats, HonestBee, Deliveroo and FoodPanda are Taipei Food Delivery Services where you can order food directly to your airbnb or hotel using a credit card.

Exchanging Money in Taiwan
