Swimming With Sting Rays and Sharks! - Honeymoon in Bora BorasteemCreated with Sketch.

Wow this was a cool part of our trip! Petting the sting rays was a crazy experience. As they would swim around you, they would rub up against your legs. They were really nice! It reminded me of how cats would treat someone, but without the claws. :)

That looks like so much fun!

It really was! I was very nervous at first, but once I pet the first one it was game on. They were feeding them at the boat to keep them around.

not sure if I wouldnt be super nervous, but well if they wanna make friends I wont send them away.

Bora Bora looks like a place I really need to go even without having a honeymoon insight.

I'll be honest, I'm terrified of sting rays...but you make them sound super friendly! I might just have to give them chance :)
Do you know what kind of sharks they were?

The sting rays really were nicer than you'd ever expect.

The sharks were mostly black tip reef sharks and super harmless to a human. The bigger sharks that were at the bottom of the ocean floor were lemon sharks. The snorkel guide said to us, "if those big sharks start coming to the top then get back on the boat." Not sure how serious he was, but I kept my eyes on those big boys!
