This is not the kind of bar you expect to find in country Australia

This seriously cool science themed cocktail bar is creating fantasy drinks in a small town,  famous mostly for apples and wine. The place is called Viscosity and it can be found down the main street of my home town in Stanthorpe. Not much else is open in Stanthorpe on a Saturday night (except for a few rural pubs serving beer on tap). Standing out in stark contrast to the regular scene, Viscosity is pumping with innovative drinks and seems so strangely out of place in this town but is fast becoming a massive drawcard to this sleepy little town.

I was pretty impressed after my first visit and there is still plenty of amazing drinks I want to go back and try.

The bar is illuminated by black light  so you can view the somewhat out of this world little universes created in a shot glass.

Even though I pass this bar almost everyday, it took a viral video shared by a friend in London for me to realise this was actually in my home town.

Until next time,

xx Isabella

Did you use the excuse of blogging to go drinking? 😉 It's a shame I don't do shots, they look awesome!

I did! I don't usually do shots either but I just had to try. So mesmerising.
