When we lived in london we were just across the river from Canary Wharf. This is the financial, or bankers district if you like. Maybe like Manhattan in NY but probably on a smaller scale. There is always a buzz in the air here. Everyone is impatient and in a rush, always short of time and keen to get back to making more money. I remember a local optician there told me that he was asked numerous times if he can test their eyes online through the internet somehow. That way they would not need to even leave their offices. Time is always short. Hilarious!

I miss London and Oxford. I've been in the UK for a week quite a few years ago. Drove my sister crazy, visited everything (including Canary Wharf).
