I remember one New Years in Hamilton NZ - drinking whiskey by the lake to keep warm, hanging out with hedgehogs and missing the midnight countdown because an old Rod Stewart concert took over the TV.

New Zealand is certainly a fascinating place. Every minute there brought something new. Even going into the shops was an eye opener.
