We are at the far western tip of Indonesia, Aceh province. Lots of tourist spots you can explore and scenes that spoil your tired spies for work.

This time I will show the middle area in the Aceh province of Central Aceh (Takengon). In this area there is one cave that has history for the local community, the name of the cave is "GOA LOYANG KORO".

The word Loyang Koro comes from the Gayo language itself, Loyang means cave while Koro means buffalo. So Loyang Koro is "GUA KERBAU". It is said that on the edge of Lake Lut Tawar there is a cave that penetrates the mountains to other villages. The mountains are Mount Brahpanyang to Isaq village which approximate 35 KM.
It is said also in the 18th century is told this cave is a cave used by the local community for a liaison between the cave Loyang Koro in the village Toweren Uken with Loyang Kaming cave in the village of Isaq.
At that time the activity of the Toweren Uken community was paddy, while in the village of Isaq was a cattle grazing area. Therefore in the rice planting season in the Toweren Uken area, masysrakat mengembalakan his buffaloes to the village of Isaq. Vice versa in the planting and cultivation of paddy field in Tuweren Uken area, the community takes the buffalo to be used as plow fields.

Formerly the famous kingdom of power in Central Aceh was the Linge empire. At the time of this kingdom there is often the theft of buffalo. Communities in the area took the initiative to take the decision to bring their buffalo from Tuweren Uken to Isaq or otherwise use an alternative path that is GOA LOYANG KORO.

Early Dutch colonial era this cave is used for the headquarters of community groups in Central Aceh or Gayo who opposed the Dutch colonial presence. The group is led by a fighter named Jemerah Aman Chatur or often called / aka Tok Rebise. Tok Rebise is a man who has magic. He can walk easily in dark places without any tools for street lighting. It is said that Tok Rebise can also survive on fire, fighting for a whole week without food and drink, and he is immune to sharp objects and firearms. With the expertise of the ins and outs of the cave and its surroundings, Tok Rebise finds a new way of shooting (the Koro Loro Koro cave to Isaq is also found in the Kemili cave as well as to the Elephant Cave). At the time of the 19th century king Ilang Gayo community rebelled against the Dutch, so the Dutch gave the title to King Ilang is PANG LIMA KHUSTES REJE ILANG.
