It was a nice & a funny guy we met on the fair about which I'll be writing further more in the post... The woman with the bat is his wife whose name was Asja!
At the very end of the winter 2018, my life was getting strange...
Not strange in a very negative way but with huge changes going on.
A friend of mine offered me to go to Zagreb to work as his assistant in the kitchen where meat was being prepared. As I was unemployed & almost financially broken, living down on the North-West coast of Croatia, where almost only perspective lies in tourism & hospitality industry & where I was refusing to work in, I accepted his offer in despite of being a vegetarian for something like 9 years. I wanted to test myself confronting some of my worst possible food – dead, stinky animal flesh boiled, cooked or roasted. My actual tasks were preparing & cleaning the kitchen before, during & after cooking. It means cleaning the animal remains from the plates, pots, forks, knives… Simply disgusting work. But I did it anyway.
It was the time when I didn’t post a single post on #Steem.it for a month!
Many more thing happened to me during my stay in Zagreb, the capital but I believe I was writing about them in some past posts…
Now I will write about some nicer thing:
4 days after moving to Zagreb, I found myself a new place to live – a middle sized apartment maybe 3 blocks away from the workplace. In that apartment 3 girls were living – ALL 3 VEGETARIANS ! ! !
It was Heaven!
Than my life started to be better! 5 days later I was fired from that carcass Hell kitchen & then the life was even more better! During those 5 last working days, I was regularly bringing home all the vegetarian food which wasn’t even touched by the customers & it was the time of plenty!
All together I was working for 9 days! #Funny!
The 3 girls gave me a shelter which I could only dream of! Just the next day, after I got fired, I went to play music in the center of Zagreb, on the Jelačić square & earned more money in 1 h than in 8-10 hours working with animal carcasses in that Hell kitchen!
Enough of that!
For a long time I wished to visit a Gypsy-old-school-traditional-Balkan-fair called Hrelić in the part of Zagreb called Hrelić too.
My 3 roommates loved the idea & we went together one sunny Sunday & these are the few photos of those joyfull moments:
The girl in the middle was one of my roommates - her name is Asja too - funny coincidence, even thou I don't believe in coincidences any more!
He was "hitting" her first but actually they really love each other!
He wanted a portrait!
I always tend to rest while drinking some coffee & rakija & smoking some tobacco in these kind of places...
& of course, I just love to have such models ! ! !
Well, I don't know what can write about of your experience on those days than you was in Zagreb, but I will to try (Other thing, sorry for my bad english xD).
First; How could you survived during your work in the ''Hell Kitchen''? Because, according to written from you, you was cleaning ''the animal remains from the plates, pots, forks, knives'' before and after than cooking. Being a person with likes vegetarians. Really I caused this a lot of laughing (in the good sense and without offend you.
Second; You liked to be in Zagreb and meeting three girls with you same likes. Wou! You had very luck and fun.
Third; Your experience in your work during five days it do you grown up more like person. It wasn't just this, but you learn also about of your travel, the persons at the ''Hell Kitchen'', the girls and Zagreb. Congratulations for you great challenge and experience!

Well, I promised a friend to go to work with him in this "hell kitchen" & I needed money too, at the time, so, I prepared myself to do things that I don't like to do. For example, I never cook or clean animal parts in my kitchen but on this work it was expected from me.
A that time I lived in Zagreb for something like 20 days, worked in the "hell kitchen" for 9 days... But indeed, I learnt a lot from all those people & I did grow a bit as a person & with this experience!
Thank you very much for the read & for the comment!

'Carcass Hell Kitchen' that made me laugh. Great read here. Kept my interest for sure. When you say you don't believe in coincidences anymore do you mean that we are all connected and everything happens for a reason or as it's meant to be? Upvoted for sure

I like when I get this kind of comments from people who really read my text & possibly understood what I meant to say!
Yes, definitely we are all connected - that is what I truly believe - & yes - everything happens for a reason!
What is meant to be is only partially effecting our lives. The other part we choose with our deeds.
