Impulsive visit to Budapest

The view to Tonava and Budapest up from the Citadella fortress on a hill.

My plan was to hitchhike from Košice, Slovakia to Oradea, Romania. However, my plans are usually vague, and I end up improvising most of the time. This time also.

In Košice I had to wait 2 hours with an "H" sign to get a car to pull off. But when it finally came, I was happy to hear that the driver was going next to Miskolc. But with further tinkering - it's late, not many good places to be dropped to continue to Romania, might as well see Budapest - I just decided to continue with the driver all the way to Budapest. Hostel wasn't too bad either; 20€ for three nights including breakfast - that's what I like to hear!

Talking about the hostel, in the room I'm staying, was this one guy from Honduras who I got along right away. It was probably because we both had a horrible and extremely rancid sense of humor. He had some interesting stories, too. (We were bit of assholes, too, because we probably drove this Indian guy away from our room by being obnoxiously loud at night, poor guy, haha.)

On his last full day, he wanted to go to a spa, and I decided to join him since I didn't have any plans for myself.

It was called Gellért - I think it was the same where you, @eveuncovered, visited, too.

I'm not too keen to luxury, but the spa was a pretty nice and relaxing experience. Affordable too, as a once-in-a-blue-moon visit.

We hadn't known each others even for a day, until we were like old friends. It's strange, because such things usually just don't happen. I don't bond with most people at all, especially outside of Steemverse (you, my precious Steemians are an exception. Steemfest really proved that!)

The dude even trimmed my Mohawk; razored the sides and gave a little fix to the back!

I must say, he did good job.

I like how things randomly end up being awesome.

You are really making the most of your trip, that is awesome! Yes the spa was the same we visited, but we didn't feel at all relaxed in there 😅 How did you cope with the labyrinth of the changing rooms?

Yeah, the spa was bit of maze, but with enough looking, we found all the pools and places. In retrospect, it might've not been the best choice, but they had two cold pools - one in and one outside next to the sauna - so I was happy.

Though I'm bit dreadful about the "Finnish" sauna; no motherfucking LÖYLY in there?! If there ain't löyly, it's a Swedish sauna.

Ha, I am so glad that you went off adventuring. Looks like you are having a ball and it is the type of thing you will hold close always.

I was pretty sure since leaving Finland that I wasn't coming the shortest way back home. It was a good decision.

What we don't see is on the other side of your head he shaved an outline of a penis. You can't trust guys in glasses.

Haha 😂

Dope! I should have stuck around longer...

Ahh... You were here too?

No, I mean Europe in General. Will you be attending Anarchapulco this year in Acapulco, Mexico - mid February

I'm not sure. At the moment I don't have money for that, but I'm probably gonna find a job fir the winter. But yeah, will have to see what I'm going to do.
