Day 1 : Old Las Vegas "The Suite"

in travel •  7 years ago

I love Las Vegas but there is something so nostalgic about Downtown Las Vegas that I can't get myself to stay on the Strip anymore.

There is so much history in Downtown that if you can break away from the sinful lures of the city, you can find some incredible spaces.

Here is tour of my suite at the historic Four Queens

Not a bad way to be greeted on Day 1 in Vegas. The hotel was a little smokey because downtown Vegas is definitely smokers paradise but stepping through a door right into 1962 is pretty darn cool! More to come

Welcome to my town! There is so much great to do and see in the old Vegas area. People watching there might be the best in the world. If you can spring a few bucks for dinner on top of the stratosphere, the whole restaurant rotates 360 degrees over an hour or 2. Beautiful views of the entire city! (Still better than the high roller IMHO)

Thanks @lumberhawk . It's great to be here. I past by the Stratosphere earlier and want to hit it. I'm a scared to go on the rides on top but I want to see the view. I have a lot to see and want to check out CES. I will be back for sure, especially if I need to rescue my money lol. I

looks amazing my brother! do they let you smoke cannabis in there? :)

It did look like there was an ashtray on the dining table, didn't it?

I love Downtown and Freemont st, we go to Vegas typically once a year for the last few years. Having stayed at Excalibur, Mirage, TI, they were nice but strip is more of fancy and money. We have more fun downtown and last time stayed at the the D. Can't wait to go back to Vegas this year. Have you been to Pawn Stars or seen any of the shows yet?

I went to Pawn Stars. It looks so different and small in real life. I also went to the D just to grab McDonalds lol. I do agree with you. Downtown is a lot of fun so far.

I think it is my Turn to be jealous, this suite looks great!

I will admit to you that I had to build a smoke damn under the door to keep the cigarette smoke from coming in. I think the suck out all the smoke from the good casinos on the strip and pump it into the older cheap ones downtown lol
