The Angel Falls

The Angel Falls (Kerepakupai Vená, means "jump from the Deepest place") is the highest waterfall in the world, with a height of 979 m (807 m of uninterrupted fall), generated from the Auyantepuy. It's 17 times taller than Niagara Falls.

Angel Falls is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Venezuela and the world, this place is isolated by the thick jungle, you can reach the region by a plane flight from Caracas or Ciudad Bolívar, to reach a camp in Canaima. Other tourists prefer to go to the falls by more natural means, crossing the jungle by the waterways until reaching the base of the Salto.
In Santa Elena de Uairén, Ciudad Guayana and Ciudad Bolívar there are tourism agencies that carry out excursions by land, water and air (by plane or helicopter), to observe the Auyantepuy and its numerous waterfalls. Land and water excursions are carried out from the Canaima camp and last about 13 hours.

This masterpiece of nature, was the inspiration for the filming of many films such as:
Up An adventure of height, animated American film of the Year 2009 of Disney Pixar awarded with two Academy Awards,

. As well as much of the landscapes of the fictitious moon Pandora in the science fiction film of the year 2009 James Cameron's Avatar (awarded with several Oscars), were inspired by the Salto Angel, the Auyantepuy and in the landscapes of Canaima National Park
Another Disney movie of the year 2000 "Dinosaur", used real images of Canaima National Park and Angel Falls in several scenes of the film.
Likewise, in the film of the year 1998 Beyond the Dreams (in English What Dreams May Come) starring Robin Williams (also winner of an Oscar), the Angel Falls is explicitly mentioned and shown in it as a unique and spectacular place, almost of fantasy; where his protagonist (Robin Williams), already dead and being in a beautiful and colorful "beyond" (which could very well be the "sky"), jumps from its peak without doing any damage.
The site was used as inspiration in the film "Dragon Fly" in Spanish "The Mystery of the Dragonfly" where Kevin Costner finds his daughter, of whom he did not know of his birth in that place.
It was also filming of one of the scenes of the new version (released in December 2015) of the movie Point Break, whose original version was released in 1991 and was starred by Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.
This is a wonderful world where you will find nature, with an incredible fauna with natives of the area.
