When we travel we tend to focus the majority of our time, concentrating on what's directly in front of, or around us. If we stay rooted in this, we can sometimes miss out on appreciating everything. For this reason, it's important to look up when you travel.
When I traveled to Mexico, I was lucky enough to visit the Gran Hotel Cuidad, located in the heart of Mexico City. As well as being one of the most beautiful hotels, I've been blessed to stay in, (special thanks to the incredible staff who ensured my stay was a special one) it is famed in particular, for its glorious art nouveau architecture.
At the heart of this majestic architectural gem, is its Louis XV chandelier in its entrance and ceiling of colorful Tiffany glass. I wondered how many visitors like myself had picked up a neck strain, trying looking at and digesting the intricate detail in the chandelier and the hotels 'vaulted ceiling design, which combine to give the viewer the perfect blend of history, art, and aesthetic.
