Visiting A Mexican Market - Mercado Hidalgo in Guanajuato City, Contributed by @TangerineTravels

Markets in Mexico are where you might go if you want a cheap meal, fresh produce, locally-made products, fresh meat, clothing, or one of many other things.

Today, we visited Mercado Hidalgo which is the largest market in Guanajuato. It's pretty sizeable but nowhere near as big as markets get. Mercado Libertad, which we visited in Guadalajara absolutely dwarfs this market.

This photo was taken from the 2nd level of the market which looks down over the rest of the market.

Many people sit down for a fresh meal prepared right in front of them. At certain times of the day, you might see this section totally packed!

In the market for clothes? (put totally intended) You'll find numerous vendors selling nothing but clothing.

You can purchase wall art with (typical) bright Mexican colors.

How about pottery, dolls, spoon rests, picture frames, or mugs? Yep, they have that too!

We thought these spoon rests were pretty cool! They have handmade drawings of various views that the city has to offer.

Have you been to any markets like this? We're they selling anything you would've never expected?

So cool! Last year, my girlfriend and I traveled to Puerto Rico. There, we encountered some of the most amazing marketplaces I've ever been to. It was so hot when we were there, however, we spent most of our time there wandering for the most readily available drinks

Wow! amazing just look at the shops 😍 lovely!

Your post is really good to me. You have shared the pictures of the market that you have shared among us. It is very nice to see what a market is like. We mean to thank you through your convenience for sharing such a nice post in us.

This market looks very similar to some markets that we have in Portugal.
I guess that even with different types of products the objective is the same, supply fresh and cheap meals (most of all).
