Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @dimiimp:

Magical Especially at Sunset. Charles Bridge is iconic of Prague. The views are spectacular of the city. The statues are incredible. I would recommend a visit in the early morning and in the evening the time of day adds even more to the experience. It can be a little crowded in during the day but worth the visit at anytime of day.

They say Lisbon is the "city of red roofs" but as you can see in this photo, Prague could have this nickname too. I took this panoramic shot of the Czech capital from a look-out spot right next to the Prague Castle, one of the most famous landmarks of the city.

This city looks like a cool place to visit. Great shot!

Perfect click for a Sunday afternoon contest:)....

A classical photo of the Charles Bridge, taken from a “classical spot” in the west shore of the river Vltava. In this location there are many swans and ducks that they are used as foreground in the composition of the photo. I like the dominant blue colour of the image, in the sky and the water.

Prague Secrets and Mysteries, Tunnel in Prokopské údolí (Prokopius Valey)
P1080787.JPG
Every proper city has its secrets and mysteries. And Prague too. Some mysteries are thousands of years old. And some are quite new ...
At the time of World War II, our country was occupied by the Nazis. Since 1944, an underground factories have begun to be built here because of Allied air raids.
Factories mostly remained unfinished. Like this in the Prokop valley. Unfinished ... No one will tell you what to do here. Since 1945, Czechoslovak and Czech Army now have their objects here. Everything is tightly guarded here. (And you can not take pictures here too.)

This one is a little morbid but still a remarkable sight. The Sedlec Ossuary (Czech: Kostnice v Sedlci) is a small Roman Catholic chapel, in which more than 40,000 skeletons are buried and used to "decorate" the chapel. Black death and wars took thousands of lives in the 14th and 15th century. A bout an hour train-ride outside of Prague if I remember correctly. Definitely worth a visit.

Between the monastery and the castle this church is really beautiful. If the coast vows fright, possibility to climb the hill by the funicular, then walk on the hill, join the monastery and Loreta. The treasure is fabulous including a monstrance-sun of the late 17th century! This site deserves movement and attention.

I've visited Prague 5 - 6 times I guess. In 2009 when I was there with my mum, weather was just unbearable. I've already posted like 2 pics into this "competition" from that trip and always mentioned the heat. Dunno why but it just sticked to my mind as one of the craziest heats I've ever experienced (till I traveled to Asia :D). Anyway, it seems pidgeons felt it the same way I did as this little guy here needed some refreshement ASAP :D He didn't care at all that people were passing him in 30 centimeters distance and was fully concentrated on drinking. It was taken near Prague Castle. There's a slight possibility that it actually is the castle building, I don't remember anymore :) Tried to google if it has such water pipes but didnt find anything.

This is a stunning square with amazing architecture, a world famous clock tower, plenty of restaurants and street entertainment. It’s a brilliant place to spend a few hours and watch the world go by both in the sunshine or beyond nightfall.

A Coypu (River Rat) and Swans on the River Vltava, Charles Bridge Prague. It does not matter if you walk over it or see it from the water. This bridge is amazing on beauty and has so much history to it. Every statue is has a special meaning and Reason to be there. Do not miss out.

love it ~ 🤗✨ ~ the contrast between many fragil swans & one fat river rat is just enticing :)

It's really one of the best architectures with its statues and itself. Also, you may face with many musicians and artists performing. The bridge has many statues and some pretty good city views. Hard to believe that you’re on a structure that was built around 1350’s
Like a lot of things in this world, Charles bridge is a must see in Prague.

Dancing House
You can't miss this place! Its probably one of the only few modern architecture building in Prague, its now a hotel, but you can go inside and up to the viewpoint for free. The only catch is that you have to buy a drink, but the are reasonably priced, considering what they could be charging. Once you go up you are spoilt with a beautiful panoramic view of Prague and its wonderful bridges and buildings.

It is with special pleasure that I today post this entry —
as just my latest contribution has revolved around one of my favorite historic buildings in Kolin {- a bigger town approximately 60 miles east of Prague -} which was in detailed view & now I so unexpectedly can show the -WHOLE MANOR- as follow-up since we were called back there once again ~ 🤗💛 ~
Perfect timing so to speak ~ who would have thought :)
