WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged and/or reported to @steemcleaners - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT

Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Church of St.Ludmila, Namesti miru, Praha 2, Vinohrady. In the second half of the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution entered into Prague, the population grew rapidly. All new parts of the city, including churches, were built. These churches were usually neo-Romanesque or neo-Gothic. How to distinguish them from the 12th to the 15th century buildings? Old churches in Prague never have clocks in the tower! This church was built between 1882 and 1892.

Fisherman at Žermanice Dam
It is Saturday so let's leave Prague... The Žermanice dam is built on the Lučina River and has a surface of 2.48 km². In the background, you can see the silhouette of Lysá hora, with 1323 m (some sources mention 1324 m) the highest mountain of Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Fishing has a ver strong roots in the Czech Republic and is a hobby of many. When captured in this perfect image there is nothing left other then to feature to others. Thank you so much. Tomas

Thank you :)

This bizarre sculpture known as "The Spy" is one of the dominant landmarks of the Lower Square in the center of Opava. The sculpture has been causing controversy since it was installed on the square in 2010. It is not even known what it represents - some people think it is an elephant or anteater while others claim it is a dinosaur or even tank :)

I need to visit the Czech Republic just to photograph the odd statues. There are so many awesomely weird statues to see there. I love it.

Haha, you are right, we do have a disturbingly high number of odd statues in the Czech Republic :D This one is from my hometown.

I showed some of the statues to my wife and now she is ready to go to the Czech Republic just so we can travel around the country getting pictures of all the odd looking statues.

For today´s entry I captured jewel of Czech history, Karlštejn Castle from a little different angle. The castle was known as representative residence of Charles IV and his son Wenceslas IV. and also as a fortress, protected the crown jewels, holy relics, and royal archives till the 17th century.

Amazing place well worth visiting.

Saw the boat carrying the tourists from under the charles bridge.
The charles bridge is the most famous bridge that crosses the vltava river. The bridge stands on sixteen strong arches, lined with specially made tiles.
Bridge connecting old town and lesser town

The Stradonka lookout tower is located near the village of Stradonice in the Louny district of North Bohemia. In its place was a fortified settlement dating from 550 BC. The observation tower was opened in 2009 and the building reminds the patrol tower from the period of the fortified settlement. The building is 6 meters high and overlooks the Czech Central Mountains. In beautiful weather, the view can be impressive especially at sunset.

Such awesome colors. Great shot.

Wow, another amazing image of yours! Truly fantastic. Thank you for your support.

magic gate.png

In one of my quick trips I went through Ústecký Kraj, where I got this beautiful piece of art called "magic gate", where in the center there seem to be two people simulating the hands of a clock, everything is very artistic, I got This place by pure chance and I'm glad I did, for me the Czech Reubluc is a country with a lot of artistic potential and is one of the most fascinating places that exist.

Flower Garden in Kroměříž again on my photo as this is one of the very photogenic place. Out of the season, so no blue sky and no flowers. Photo was taken in 2016 during my travel around Czech Republic.

I have to make it to that place myself one day.

Chapel of the Czechoslovak Church, U Vodárny, Praha 2, Vinohrady
P1080283.JPG
The Catholic Church united its destiny in Bohemia with the Habsburg monarchy. When monarchy was defeated in the World War I and extinct, for 1 million Czechs the Catholic Church left. And they founded their own Czechoslovak Church.
The new Church needed new churches. The Church emphasized its modernity. New churches were built in a modern architectural style. This church is constructivist, 1930 - 1935.
And I also wanted to show that spring is ruled in Prague!

On thursday we had a visit to the winery as a class. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to see a very young winery which is just 4months old. The name of this winery is OBELISK. We were again told that the owner of this winery does it as hobby. Everything regarding set up and production looked great and promising.
A big shoutout to my colleague "horticulture excursionist" for handling the camera and doing the editing as well

Great shot. That landscape looks amazing.

Beautiful Czech landscape.

A bit about Baroque

An ordinary tourist quickly glances over the facade of the building. Some tourists note the color or some detail. Basically, everything is solved very simply - the house or like or dislike. For me, any façade is a code! I define the age, the purpose of giving, and the style of architecture according to the facade.
Today I present a photo of the facades of Prague in the Baroque period.

P.S. Today I am fyrst))))

Červená lhota.jpg

Červená Lhota is a château about 20 kilometres north-west of Jindřichův Hradec in south Bohemia, Czech Republic. It stands at the middle of a lake on a rocky island. Its name Červená Lhota meaning "red lhota" can be explained by the colour of the château's bright-red roof tiles. The existence of an original fortress on the site of today's château is assumed from sometime around the middle of the 14th century.

Oh, such a wonderful place. Thank you for giving it some attention. Tomas

The great thing about Prague is that you never know what you are going to see. Today I spied a group of old cars in Mala Strana. The one on the left is a Peugeot from the early 1930s and I think the one on the right is a Citroen. It was like stepping back in time when these cars were probably all over the streets of Prague. If I made this black and white it would be hard to tell when it was taken.

For today’s contest another photo from the old Townhall tower . It has Almost 70 metres high massive tower It offers the most splendid views at the historical core of the town.

I was wondering whether can I see the echidnas at the Praha zoo. I believe there are echidnas but there are so few photos about the little critters in praha. Regarding the second part some of the cages are empty or the animals are hiding. Of course you see some birds and cold tolerant animals but not the whole zoo.
Hope you have a good day!

A jedna z výletu na Milešovku.jpg

"Milešovka Mountain"

Milešovka (837m above sea level) is a beautiful volcanic hill and the highest peak of the entire české Středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands). At the same time it is considered to be the most windy mountain in the Czech Republic. Some days in the year are even seen alpine peaks from the top.

Photo taken from the highest point of the mountain

What a view!

Yes it is, it is the tallest mountain of praga. You can see all around.

Zizkov Televison Tower
This improbable tower located in a somewhat withdrawn area of the city offers a breathtaking panoramic view. One can wander at leisure in the observatory and learn the history of this tower.
To do on a clear day and night. Break in the bubble chairs to music. Beautiful view of this beautiful city.

Hluboká Chateau is an ideal destination for lovers of history, irreplaceable romance, and sports enthusiasts. The castle owes its current appearance to the Schwarzenberg family and is often referred to as the most beautiful chateau in the Czech Republic.
FB_IMG_1525543244259.jpg

Hluboká – due to its scale, character, original furnishings and extensive park. This architectural jewel owes its current appearance to the Schwarzenberg family and is often referred to as our most beautiful chateau. At the same time it is one of the most famous and most sought after monuments of the Czech Republic at all.

Karlovy Vary is a resort town in the Czech Republic. The city is small, beautiful with openwork facades on the houses. Karlovy Vary is famous for its mineral water. And I recommend to try hot waffles, which are cooked on the street.

In the city there is the Elephant Cafe. Its name means a lot to the Russians. One of the episodes of the famous Soviet television series "Seventeen Moments of Spring" became a decoration.

Train and train station is often the first thing we see from a city. A seemingly ordinary thing and place. Although some railway stations in Bohemia are not very welcoming, it should not discourage us from visiting the city, which is especially interesting and beautiful in this case. The photo was taken at the main railway station in Prague. The gilt roof in the background is the dome of the National Museum.

A view from the Prag Castle.. Actually I don't know what meaning this statue carries. Can you clarify it? @tomas

The monument is called obelisk which is a granite monolith and World War I memorial designed by Jože Plečnik. It stands 16 meters high, located in the Third Castle Courtyard. The obelisk was donated by Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, erected in late 1928 to mark the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the First Czechoslovak Republic.

Unfortunatley your entry does not qualify for an upvote as it is missing the minimum 30 word description. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas

So beautiful photo.
