Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this impressive image taken by our regular contributor @swerdan with the following description:

This is a long exposure of the charles bridge near old town. I wanted tto try to make the bridge look empty so I set up a tripod and took a few 30 second exposures. If you look closely you can see some ghosting in it from people walking too slow.

I decided to come back here for a day to celebrate Steem crossing $8!!! I could say I'm smiling in this photo because I knew that would happen, but that wouldn't be true. I'm smiling because I loved that incredible view of Prague behind me!

So now I know what you look like Matt, no hiding from now on:)....lol....

Prague Fairytale.

St. Vitus, Vltava and Charles Bridge. We have spent several great days with my wife in winter Prague. What a beautiful city! It is really hard to make two steps without shooting. This evening was especially beautiful. Blue hour, wonderful architecture, and the city lights. Just magic!

Wow, epic photo! Well done.

Thank you!

Welcome to my challenge! What an epic pic. I know those from Shutterstock, lol..... I am sure I will see more from you... Welcome to Steemit, you have made a grand entry:)... Have a great day. Tomas

Thank you! You are hosting the great contests!

The most difficult during sunset and the subsequent twilight is to catch time in different places. I want to be at once in several shooting points at the same time. Often you have to run after this holding a tripod. Only this way there is a chance to make several photos at one day.
Prague evening

What a beautiful image! Thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Tomas

Thanks for the love again @czechglobalhosts. When taking the picture I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out and was really happy when I got home and I hit one that was really good.

So today I am have a picture of the backside of Prague Castle. Which is located at one of the highest points in the city which makes it visible almost everywhere you are. There is also a mini cameo of @austiclees on the right hand side. The architecture in Prague is just amazing. So many great buildings to see.

If anyone else likes my photos I post 1-2 extra a day on my blog. :)

Thanks for viewing everyone.

Wow fantastic photo. One of the best I've seen of the castle.

Thank you so much. It means a lot when other appreciate my pictures.

Once again an amazing entry from you! Thank you so much for that. Tomas

I'm glad I can keep presenting quality pictures. Thank you for the chances to post.

Astronomical clock, Prague

Prague's infamous astronomical clock is quite impressive if you consider that it was constructed in the 15th century. By today's standards, the hourly show of the clock is not so impressive though; Way funnier are the disappointed faces of the hordes of tourists who are gathering every hour to witness bell ringing and the figures turning.

Your picture is better than mine!

Your picture is great too @verdanas.

What a great close up! Love it!

Really love Krumlov too.
I don't know how often I have been there already, because it's so close to the Austrian border.
Here is a nice picture from a visit in summer.

It's on my todo - list to go through Krumlov by boat too, like so many other people.

Surely an epic place to visit! Thank you for your post. Tomas

This photo has been taken in Hradec Kralove, in a bar, 2017, during my winter vacation. It presents a beatiful part of your beer culture ; when you order a beer in a bar, you get a small sheet of paper. Each line represents one beer. When you want to pay, you just show the bartender this sheet and he calculates your bill. I also love the fact that bartenders take care of you and ask you if you want another beer, before you even finish that one.

LOL! Actually I do like your entry:).....

And I like those Czech contests hosted by u ;)
Keep up the good job

This is a view of one of the towers of the Jesuit College, next to the St. Barbara's Church in Kutna Hora. The Jesuit College is the second largest gallery in Czech Republic and was build in 1667!

Thank you for your entry Jaco!

Yesterday I showed a photo of the façade of the St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague. Today I show a photo of its interior, more precisely its main nave. It is a magnificent Gothic cathedral, in the image you can see the the bell-shaped columns and the vaults that are so typical of the Gothic style.

Prague 7, Metronome

I snapped this photo of the famous metronome in Prague 7 while hanging out and jamming with some friends at dusk. There were skaters everywhere, the smell of cannabis in the air, and no cops.

Tahnk you for your participation. Have a great day. Tomas

Grand Hotel Pupp, the most famous hotel and iconic landmark of Karlovy Vary, a spa town in North-Western Czech Republic. The town hosts a world-famous film festival each year, attended by many renowned actors, directors and other prominent people from the film industry. I took this photo on a rainy day in November 2015.

Thanks ever so much for your entry. Have a good one. Tomas

This was during my 4th visit to Praha, second one just for pleasure. Whenever I visit a foreign city I try to experience something that regular tourists masses miss. So, after studying I headed to the Vitkovo hill, and after enjoying some time watching trains go by and repeating a refrain from a Serbian rock song in my head ("I can no longer look at the track; trains are separating people…"). I continued my climb uphill, and voila, I found myself in front of this astonishing view! All the colors of the spring blossom and the entire city below.
It just moves me every time I stumble up upon this one in the albums.

It`s great to see you do experience something else! Fantastic.

"Just like the Eiffel tower"
One of the most iconic features of Prague. The Petřín Lookout Tower is a 63 m tall! The tower gives a great city view after climbing 300 steps. On a clear day you can see almost entire city :)

Cesky Krumlov is very nice old town. The streets look like the Prague old town. I post another view on Cesky Krumlov Castle. Do you know the name Krumlov is based on German "Krumme Aue"? It means something like "crooked river", because the town lies between Vltava river meanders.

In Prague, it is simply impossible to pass the Old Town Square, because it is the very center of the Czech capital. Moreover, the center is not just geographical, but also historical.
the square was here in the 12th century, the place was not chosen by chance, it was located at the crossroads of trade routes. Firstly, the square was an ordinary market.
In the Middle Ages, it began to be actively built up - and now surrounded by houses-testimonies of several centuries. And representatives of different architectural styles - Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance.

The Church of Virgin Mary's Immaculate Conception in Strašnice was built in modern architectural style in 1992-1994. It is located at the corner of Ke Strašnické and Krupská streets in the Prague 10-Strašnice district. The church has a ground plan of an isosceles triangle. The dominant feature of the building is the cross at the top of the church at a height of 25 meters. The foundation stone of the church was sanctified by Pope John Paul II during his visit to Czechoslovakia in 1990.

I honestly have no idea what this building is but took it when walking from our hotel into the city. I happened to get lost trying to navigate the streets and ended up walking in the wrong direction for awhile. One of the most beautiful aspects of Prague would be the buildings in and around the city that differ in color giving each a unique look.

Astronomical clock. I saw one picture posted already. I have made a bit different picture where we can see a larger scale of astronomical clock.
I wonder how did this clock influence people when it was made a long time ago. I assume that many people were inspired watching it. Cc-Astronomical clock.jpeg

I wish I could tell you the artist that created these odd, faceless, giant babies, but when I was there, I could not find any plaques with descriptions. I found them while stumbling through the magical city of Prague, I believe on the west side of the river, not too far from the American Embassy. There is obviously a heavy amount of editing in lightroom in this photo, but I wanted to bring out the creepiness factor a bit more. Enjoy!

Crawling Babies by David Cerny ;)

Haha yes! Thank you.

Here it is, the front of St. Vitus cathedral. I don't remember going inside when I was there. Construction began in 1344. Wasn't finished until 1929, but these things take time....

IMG_2118.JPG

I forgot where I took this photo in Prague but I remember we stopped to take it because this building looks like in the olden ages. We find that you always find right in the middle of modern buildings you see some older infrastructure which reminds me a bit like countries like Japan. If you are traveling to Prague, do look out for some of the older buildings.

IMG_0024.jpg

Something a little different... I can't remember the name of this wall but when I found out you could paint it I reached back and got in touch with my teenage graffiti-writing self, bought some acrylic paints, and painted this little ONE LOVE. Lots of people out there painting and watching, what a nice spot!

This is another picture of Prague by night. This is a street between Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, so it's usually crowded. I can say that it's really peaceful and different to walk in the empty center. Next thing I want to do: to walk in empty streets like this but during the summer to be able to see them in the sunlight!

6am here in Vancouver, just waking up and seeing this. Will definitely post some nice picture from our visits in Czech with @gladysmak once I make it to studio and check my laptop. Are you looking for pictures of landscape only without us being in it or that’s fine too? Thanks Tomas @czechglobalhosts

Nothing in particular! Hope to see you pics coming soon. Have a great day. Tomas

A shot from Brno

I've spent a few years there and this is one of my first attempts with a wide-angle and tripod setup. A lovely and underrated city in my opinion:

Statue of Saint Wenceslas, Wenceslas Square Prague Czech Republic. I made this photo on Wenceslas square in the centre of the city. It looks more a broad boulevard than a typical city square. You can find here everything you need. Saint Wenceslas.jpeg
