This is a stunning square with amazing architecture, a world famous clock tower, plenty of restaurants and street entertainment. It’s a brilliant place to spend a few hours and watch the world go by both in the sunshine or beyond nightfall.

It is with special pleasure that I today post this entry —
as just my latest contribution has revolved around one of my favorite historic buildings in Kolin {- a bigger town approximately 60 miles east of Prague -} which was in detailed view & now I so unexpectedly can show the -WHOLE MANOR- as follow-up since we were called back there once again ~ 🤗💛 ~
Perfect timing so to speak ~ who would have thought :)

Side view of Troja Chateau, Prague 7, Troja. A chateau built in the style of the classicist Baroque in the 2nd half of the 17th century. It is surrounded by a Louis XVI-style French garden.
In 1922 the castle with large surrounding land was donated to the Czechoslovak state on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of President Masaryk.
Botanical and zoological gardens were built on the land. The Prague Municipial Gallery uses castle and surrounding buildings now.

Front view of the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, one of the dominants of the Old Town Square, Prague. Built from the mid-14th to the early 16th century, the magnificent cathedral also serves as an extensive gallery of Gothic, Renaissance and Early Baroque art works.

St. Vitus cathedral in Prague Castle front view of the main entrance in Prague, Czech Republic.
Most people who decide to visit Prague Castle come home with this picture because it is the classic view ... You can capture all the roofs of Hradcany, overlooking the Vltava River and its bridges.

Hi Steemians find here my picture from the beautiful gardens of the recently restored Hospital Kuks in the Northern Bohemia. This is an unique 17th century Baroque complex of former hospital and spa with the church of the Holy Trinity and the old dispensary.

The Charles bridge seen from above. The picture was taken from the Old Town Bridger Tower, a remarkable attraction in itself, but the view towards the old town and also the castle area is amazing!

When you visit Prague, you will visit lot's and lots of cathedrals. St Nicholas Cathedral in the Castle District is my favorite in Prague. The baroque styling throughout the church are just amazing with outstanding outside view. I love the altar. it's just huge, flamboyant and just lovely. The statues surrounding are larger than life. I do like how certain saints are portrayed as if they are looking down from heaven at us. It's just incredible art.

The Charles Bridge is covered with statues. It's a beautiful walk across the river with views in all directions. Beautiful place well worth a visit. Architecture is amazing. You'll get a much quieter and different perspective of the bridge and lovely views of the castle.

There is also a Saint Nicholas Church at Old Town Square in Prague. This one is in LESSER town ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. The Church of Saint Nicholas (Czech: Kostel svatého Mikuláše) is a Baroque church and very beautiful both insdie and outside. It is located in the Lesser Town of Prague (Mala Strana- across the river from the old town Prague City. According to the information, it was built between 1704-1755 and is still active as a church. If you cross the Charles Bridge and heading to the Prague Castle, it is located at the bottom of the hill where you will climb up to the Castle. If you are not in a hurry go and see inside the Cathedral before moving on the the Castle, or stop by after the Castle. It is a beautiful Church.

View of the Old Town Water Tower (Staromestska Vodarenska Vez in the Czech language) and some other historic buildings in the center of Prague. The very origins of the tower date back to the 15th century when a wooden tower was standing on the same spot, just outside of the Charles Bridge.
