Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @gmt117:

This is Perstejn Castle. It is a castle on a rock above the village of Nedvědice and the rivers Svratka and Nedvědička, some 40 kilometres northwest of Brno, in the South Moravian Region, Czech Republic. As you can see it is quite beautiful and because of that it has been used in many movies - both Czech and international.

I know the St. Vitus Cathedral (officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert) has been featured in this challenge many times and it is absolutely understandable as it is one of the most iconic landmarks of Prague but as far as I remember, few of those shots actually showed the interiors of this majestic building. So let me make up for that with this image I took inside the cathedral in May 2016.

Like you say it has been featured from the outside on many occasions but not many pics from within. Great entry to be featured in today´s edition. Tomas

I love visiting and looking out to the whole of the I'm visiting city. From this picture, the Prague cityscape is just fabulous. The colours of the roofs are all similar, clear blue skies so you can use this opportunity to take some really good photos of the city.

Spring has already started. A view of Prague in spring. Photo taken from the hill where the Castle is located. It can be seen in red roofs of *Malá Strana” or the “Lesser Town”. In the background there is the Gothic tower of Charles Bridge.

Yep, the view is gorgeous!

Today’s picture captures lakes in Brno Holasky. There are about 9 lakes connected together and the whole area is called Holasecka jezera. It is on the outskirts of the city. Ecosystem in this area is very rare and soon there will be a big reconstruction of those lakes...

Winter is ending, but I will still share one shot of Prague under snow. It's taken from the top of the Charles bridge tower. There are towers on both sides of Charles Bridge and you can pay a little bit of money and go all the way up and enjoy the view from there. It's quite a nice perspective that you can get from the top.

Great image! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

The Museum of Western Bohemia in Pilsen began its activity at the end of the 19th century. The building project was created by one of the best architects of the time, Joseph Shkorpil. The construction of the museum lasted about four years. In the early 90's, the Museum of West Bohemia became the centre of scientific research life. Within its walls, there are constantly scientific lectures and seminars, as well as professional presentations of leading historians.

dobrichovice capilla barroca.jpg

This is the chapel of St. Jude Thaddeus in the city of Dobřichovice, in the Czech Republic, it is a baroque church, in this place people go to pray and worship God, his architectural style is simple but beautiful. A place that you should know if you visit this beautiful city.

19.3. I was again able to run around an hour after Prague. What can be done in such a short time? That's why my steps led to the Old Town Square for a repaired astronomical clock. In order for tourists to miss this attraction during the reconstruction, there was installed a large screen on which the astronomical clock is projected. The view is very true. From a greater distance it is hardly known that this is projection.

Very interesting! Great entry!

Thanks for appreciation ;-)

I think that I already added so many pictures showing how beautiful Czech Republic is, so I hope that you will forgive me this time ;) but I like to show different points of view. This picture I took in 2016 from the train somewhere in Liberec area I guess.

Thats cool shot. I like it.

Thank you :)

Unfortunately, we do have many sights like this around the country.... Great to add those as well!

And also there is a lot of abandoned factories

Here is show you photo of one of my favorite locations at Prague, the Wallenstein Garden. This place was built by Giovanni Pieroni who was a student from Galileo Galileis. I like the mixture between the barock style part on top and the surreal part on the bottom of that building...

I heard that the attitude to the television tower in Prague is not unique. It does not really fit into the image of the city. But to look at her when you are near is interesting. Especially funny babies that crawl on the steep walls of the tower back and forth.
Prague Tele tower

Interesting angle. The babies look very live. The b&w fits the scene perfectly.

Dinosaur park. Despite the fact that the visit to the park of dinosaurs was perceived by me "with a smile," since I had already left the age when such things arouse interest, but I decided to visit it anyway.
I recommend unequivocally this park, besides it is convenient to reach and thematically thought out and decorated. With children it will be quite interesting, because there is even a large hill with which you can ride or shell, in which you can make a couple of interesting shots. Also on the territory there are tents where you can buy drinks and ice cream.

Czech Republic is well known for its amazing castles and castle ruins. Here, on the photo, high tower of one of them - which one - is now a big question after so many years since my last visit. Maybe somebody knows?

Lunch with a view.

DSC00499.jpg

After my visit to the castle and the cathedral I grabbed some food at one of the vendors on the square.
Potatoes and vegetables, fairly inexpensive.
Plastic bowl and cutlery, cheap.
A view of Prague while munching on a yummy lunch, PRICELESS!

Hmm, great lunch looking down and seeing the whole Prague:)....

Happiness is often in the little things...

Today’s picture captures a part of fountain in Brno (it can be found in Luzanky park). It was empty when I visited Brno so there was no point of taking picture of the whole fountain, but this statue was interesting. You can see fish in a net and little person (Is it a kid? I do not know).

For today's post I have prepared a photo from another spa that is located in Czech Republic - Františkovy Lázně. They are 5 km north of Cheb. Mineral water is used for drinking, bathing and other procedures. The healing effects of local waters have been known since the 15th century.

That doesn't look like Prague or the Czech Republic.

Please stop placing images that are completely unrelated to the challenge. At the same time soliciting and asking for upvotes will not get you any!
