I took this photo during my trip around Gran Canaria. And I'm lucky I didn't plan to be in place like this during the sunset :). But luckliy for me I've been. This is a place on Gran Canaria (Artenara) where is statue of Christ a little bit similar like in Rio De Janerio :) But ofc a little bit smaller.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #49 - winner announcement!

@axeman Asian Sunday entry:

Having general bus tourist trip around the Dubai one day, that wasn't really too much time to spend at the observation deck of famous Burj Khalifa, maybe some 30 mins only. And was quite lucky by this time to have a scheduled performance of also famous Burj Khalifa dancing fountains and to see it from very unusual point of view - from almost 500 meters top. So here we have the smiling city warmly welcoming the tourists from all over the world. Enjoy it!

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

One of the most famous buildings in the world is the opera house in sydney. I was able to capture this picture with my drone at the beginning of August. At the same time, I make a timelapse of this fantastic moment with the canon.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #49 - winner announcement!

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

One of my favourite photos from The Map to Paradise filming trip. This one was taken on the shores of Neko Harbour on the Antarctic Peninsula. I love the penguins expression, although it does look a little sad.

Kampala, the capital of Uganda, is located on the northern edge of Lake Victoria. Last week I posted a photo facing the lake at the Ggaba Landing Site, a center for the fishing trade in Uganda. This week I'm posting a photo from the other direction showing the very busy and vibrant fish and produce market!

Thank you so much for your entry Matt! Have a great day.

It has been a while since I entered anything in African Wednesday. The series I shot of these three farm boys while I was in Tanzania turned out to be some of my favorite shots of the time I spent there. I was on my way in to a Maasai church and these boys came down the path to see us. After I got some shots of them, they followed me into the church and we played some games during the service and I almost got them beat by some of the village elders because they were being disruptive.

Ohhhh amazing shot!

That is a stunning shot Wes! Well done.

Africa without Islam would not be Africa. We are here in the streets of Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia. This village perched above the sea has been classified at UNESCO for the splendor of its architecture whose doors are real wonders with a hudge work on it. To discover early in the morning before the streets are overgrown.

Door = Dar in tunisian

Looks like the door is hiding a secret:)

Footsteps in the Sahara

As hostile to life as the sand desert may seem, the Sahara near Merzouga attracts a lot of people. Few of them are nomads, most either are or work with tourists.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

I like this color :), nice shoot !

Thanks!

Tetouan, Marocco
How I get in there ?
So it was one day Trip from Spain to Marocco.
We visited only this one city, and only historic part - only Medina quarter. The weater was not cool, for the most of the time it rained -I've been there on the beginning of october.
What can I say more... I definitly have more photos from this city, so I will put more in the future(this is the second one). And Tetouan it's like a heaven for you - if you like architecture/reportage/street photography <3

Morocco looks like such a cool place to go to.

As I wrote before I've been only in this one city, but really I'd like to back for more photos...

Thank you so much for your participation and your great entry.

Thank you for making this contest ;)

After riding quad bikes through the desert in Hurghada, Egypt for about an hour. We finally made it to this mountain range. We parked the bikes up at the camp below and climbed one of the mountains. It was a great view from up there, made me fell like I was on another planet.

It sure does look like another planet:)... Great click!

Cheers mate

Mudumu National Park, Namibia.

After a heavy drive through the soft sand of the national park, the reward was great. A large group of elephants just crossed the river. What beautiful and great animals. We were so lucky to come so close.

I am jealous, what an experience this must have been.

Back to Africa!
At least with my photo 😁
So this photo is from our trip to Namibia, it is from privately owned guest farm, where we also overnight. They offer an amazing experience to interact with cheetah.
This is still one of the best experiences of my travel life…

What a great close up. Well done.

This was the view I had while eating lunch in El Jem, Tunisia. The main attraction in El Jem is of course the massive amphitheater in the background. It was fun to sit there enjoying the view of the ruins and watching other tourists fight with the camel owner when he would overcharge them after each short ride.

What a great composition!

Merzouga, Morocco
I took this picture of a Berber (ethnic group) walking around a dune in Merzouga, Morocco inside the Sahara desert. Really loved the contrast with the sand, the foggy and blue sky and some mountains in the backround.

great shoot ! I like colors, this landscape and compositon !

Thank you @halinaj ! Appreciate it :))

What a fabulous image! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.

Thank you very much Tomas ! :))

Aaa, nothing like an early morning run (or hike) with good friends. This photo was taken two weekends ago when we conquered Table Mountain... again. This is one of the first check points just below the Block House going up Mombray Ridge and Devil's Peak, Cape Town, South Africa.

Pretty usual view at some pier of Alxeandria, Egypt - colorful boats and fishermen all around the piers.
As always sunshine, blue sky and hot.. though still not so much since that was December :)
Shot with long tele-photo lens

Enjoy the scenery :)

Aswan is a desertic city south of Cairo, Egypt. Here you can see Saint Simeon Monastery that was built by a monk during the 7th century. There are only ruins to visit but since it is not a well know tourist attraction, you can have the site to yourself and this is priceless in that region.

Great contest.

Aw shoot. I don't have any Africa photos, because I've never been to Africa.

But you know what makes me feel better?

Toto wrote their hit song without ever having been to Africa.

penguin photos are very unique and very sweet

So, Nice pic bro, keep it up.
