Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #51 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

This is one of a beautiful sunrise I had when i was in Gili Trawangan island, a small island near Lombok. No cars, no bike is allowed in this island. But unfortunately we can't go visit the island for a while now, since the earthquake hit Lombok last month. Many building were damaged, and all the people were evacuated from the island for their safety.

This is another photo from my visit to Luang Prabang in north central Laos. In this middle of the city is Mount Phousi, a 100 meter hill. You can climb up the many steps of the hill to reach some spectacular views of the city and explore a Buddhist temple, Wat Tham Phou Si.

Thank you so much for your entry Matt. Have a great day.

I took this photo at the Chinese Great Wall, near Beijing. It is very steep, and I went up a long way in a very hot day. Along the wall there are many towers as seen in the figure. I can see that it is a very interesting experience to walk along the wall.

Wow, to be honest I did not know it was that steep!

Vietnam

You can see the rice fields somewhere in the northern north of Vietnam. I have traveled a 300 km loop on motorbike from the city Ha Giang located near the border with China.

Petra, Jordan
Back in 2016 I was traveling through Jordan with a 2 day stop in Petra. I was hiking around the mountains on the second day and met those 3 guys up on one of the Peaks. They told me some interesting backround stories about the area and its history. It was definitely one of the most beautiful spots I have ever visited.

What a great view to hand out!

Indeed! Perfect spot to have a tea and enjoy the view, ha ! Thanks Tomas!

Hiroshima, Japan, was largely destroyed during an atomic bombing of the World War II on August 6, 1945. Today, the modern city has built a Peace Memorial Park that pays homage to the victims of this tragedy. The park also includes the Genbaku dome ruins, one of the few buildings that was not completely destroyed on that sad day.

Yep, what a sad part of the world's history. Thank you for your post.

Quite stormy evening at the beach of central Tel-Aviv. Got sun rays just a couple minutes before the dawn, which warmed a bit overall cold blue scenery. A bit of long exposure to freeze the waves to make picture more surreal

Enjoy it!

Wow, that is terrific! Love that contrast between orange and blue colors.

Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on Saneey beach, Aceh Indonesia.
This beach is located far from the capital of the large Aceh district. I took this picture and had to pass a road that was very far from the main road. And the natural scenery on this beach is very beautiful with a combination of mountains and sea.

nice capture @amyalfatasya

That is a superb image. I missed your entries!

Gili Trawangan is one of the group of Gili islands off the coast of Bali, Indonesia. The water is perfect for snorkeling and there is some waves to have a surf on which is fun. There is no cars or motorbikes on the island so the only way to get around apart from walking is by push bike or horses. Its an amazing place to visit!

Mossy Forest in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

The Cameron Highlands in Malaysia are known for their tea plantations, but my highlight was hiking in the foggy Mossy Forest. With two other travellers I met there I hitchhiked to the start of the hike from where we were descending to the village.

Here is my most beautiful yak photo in Central Asia

Screen Shot 2018-09-08 at 10.50.03 pm.png

Ah central Asia. The highest part of the biggest continent on Earth! Big, high and cold. These yaks were just hanging out, eating grass and enjoying the sun so I took their photo. I think they look happy but I am not a yak expert. Hope you enjoy!

I also posted this on my blog.

I love this impression ~ yet please notice that for this contest a description of about 30 - 50 alongside the image (- that has to be your personal one -) is also required

Good call! Thanks.

My pleasure :)

Restoring Boudhanath... With time passing, the weather uses the material that were used to build this fantastic stupa. Once in a while, workers gather and restore the layer covering Boudha making it newer, stronger and cleaner.
