This is the Olt river's Gorge crossing the Carpathians, a road which I travel quite often. It is one of the most spectacular roads in Romania, which is a good thing because it's always crowded.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #101 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

View of the Treasury in Petra, Jordan. While the ticket to Petra is the single most expensive entry fee I have ever paid, locals can get in for free. Many run small shops in the site, but a few teenagers are blocking access to a trail to this viewpoint demanding a fee for a "guided tour" from any tourist who wants to pass. At first I didn't bother, but when I saw them physically attacking a tourist in front of me who had also decided to ignore them and go by himself, I turned back and took an alternative route. Apart from this event, I had very positive experiences with Jordanians, so it is a shame that the local authorities allow these highwaymen to do their sketchy business at the countries' most frequented tourist site.

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans entry:

Wharariki Beach Reflections, New Zealand. Wahariki beach is one of my favourite spots in New Zealand. At low tide, the rock formations reflect beautifully in the water. Wahariki beach is also home to countless birds and sea lions.

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

Camping under the stars while on safari in the Sossusvlei desert in Namibia. We arrived to this camp site for the night, so in the morning we could climb the sand dunes. The days were hot but at night, the temperature was just perfect.

One of many beautiful historic buildings in the center of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and its largest city with a population of over 570,000 people. Vilnius is classified as a Gamma global city according to GaWC studies, and is known for the architecture in its Old Town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Here's a drone shot of the stunning Durlaßboden Reservoir and the surrounding mountains in the Austrian Alps. I loved this beautiful region of Tyrol. You can enjoy breathtaking views almost everywhere after some easy hikes or drives, and the water of these alpine lakes is usually crystal clear, so reflections are common sights here.

Berlin City Lights - Brandenburg Gate at night - The Cars passing by from both sides with lightning speed.

What you see is a 138sec long exposure at ISO 100 F22 on a Laowa 12 mm, f/2.8, Zero-D. This is not a composite! In order to have such a long exposure time to get so many car ligh trails i covered up the lens with my hat, whenever there were no cars passing.

The Colosseum as viewed from the higher aspect of the Palatine this summer. So much history jammed into such a small space in this wonderful European city. There is over a millennia of architecture in this frame.

The Way to the breakwater at the baltic sea!

Breakwater on the Baltic Sea protect the beach from over-flushing. At regular intervals, the wooden poles rise into the sea, which are also used by seagulls to relax.

The picture was taken in the spring on the deserted beach of Zingst in Germany.

Karlstor (on the left) is located at the western end of Neuhauser Straße in Munich. It used to be Munich's famed city wall from the medieval ages. The wall served as a major defensive fortification and also a checkpoint. Back in the ages it was named Neuhauser Tor.

A winding road at the bottom of the Apuseni mountains, Carpathians, Romania. It was fun drive that ended with a drone flight and the image below. Hope you like it!

The 1000 Windows of Berat, Albania

I am travelling as digital nomad in the Balkans at the moment while developing TravelFeed. When I am not coding or organising TravelFeed, I explore the beautiful places around me. This photo is from this morning when I woke up in the beautiful city of Berat in Albania. Albanian people are amazing and I am really enjoying my time here!

Pisa, Italy is more than just a leaning tower. Yes it is a touristic city and yes you can see it in one day, but there is much more to see.
The Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Duomo, the palace, are all worth a little time.
Here you can see a bit of the facade of the Cathedral in front of the tower.

Surf hidden behind a shipwreck. They say there is no surf on the Mediterranean coast of France. You just have to know where to look. Those are not giant waves but it's still pretty fun to ride.

Today I am sharing lake photo again. Yes, I really like water and all natural green colour around. This lake is known also as Belopeško jezero in Slovene language. There are acctually two lakes, both beautiful in slightly different way.
Enjoy!

Craters of Malta

Rocky coastline of Malta is full of interesting and unusual element. Those round formations most probably were made just by water erosion. And maybe during many many years...
Perfect place for finding some special compositions for seascape photography

Enjoy it!

A view of Tartini square in Pirano or Piran. It is the only city that Slovenia has at the Adriatic sea, and it has a strong venetian influence in its culture and architecture. The photo was taken from the Castle of the city.

Bratislava

One of the coolest things in Bratislava is using the bridges as view point to get a better perspective of the city and the great Danube river. On the left the UFO tower, on the right the Bratislava castle; the two highlights separated by centuries of construction engineering evolution.

These photos were taken in the area of a city called Omis, which is located in Croatia. This exact snapshot was taken on a yacht ride, which was directed to a beach called Zlatni rat. I have fallen in love with the atmosphere of these magical small towns, which are hidden in hills.
