One of the most visited tourist sites in Vienna, Schönbrunn Palace is worth a visit. the imperial family used it as a summer residence, but the Turkish invasions led to its near-destruction. It was later rebuilt to make it the Versailles of Austria. There are obvious similarities between the two palaces, especially when we go through the gardens.

Night shot of the Lesser Town Bridge Towers in Prague. Located on the Mostecka Street, these magnificent medieval towers serve as the gateway to the famous Charles Bridge from the Lesser Town, one of the central parts of the city. Also known as the Judita Tower, the shorter of the two towers was built as early as in the second half of 12th century. The taller tower is a bit younger, its origins date back to the beginning of the 15th century.

Little cave in the 'Parque de el Retiro' in Madrid, Spain. Near the Palacio de Cristal, there is a little lake with an artificial (I guess) cave with a little window on a waterfall. Ideal to take a photo.

The unusually named Ponte 25 de Abril is the 2km-long, striking Golden Gate-style suspension bridge that links Lisbon with Almada. At first it makes you wonder just where you are in the world and is a beautiful engineering marvel.DSC_0753.JPG

View of Carvalho beach over eroded cliff. This small beautiful beach is located on the Portuguese coast in the Algarve. The only entrance that leads to the beach is through an eroded cliff in which stairs are carved. Near it is the well-known Benagil cave.

AZ Tower is the highest building in the Czech Republic. With its 30 floors, AZ Tower reaches the height of 111 meters. AZ Tower is located in Brno in the developed area close to the main station. From AZ Tower you can see the Špilberk Castle very easily.

Overview of Kassiopi, a village, and a resort on the affluent north east coast of Corfu, Greece. Taken from the old Byzantine-period castle located on the hill above the town. Taken with Canon 80D and Canon 10-18mm. 1/500 shutter speed, F/6.3 at ISO100

Nice shot but you might want to extend the description a bit to meet the 30 word requirement ;)

Sunsert at Mavrovo Lake, Macedonia

Mavrovo National Park offers some of the best hiking in Macedonia, but it is also home to the artificial Mavrovo lake. After a hike in the mountains, I enjoyed this beautiful view when cycling back to the hostel.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Barcelona, Plaza Espana (Spain Square)

Shot from the Arena Mall's last floor's level terrace where an elevator could take you if you have the patience to queue for it. Or the escalators, floor by floor, through the interior of the building itself. On the horizon — Montjuik Hill with the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (Catalonia Gallery) and the Olympic Stadium (only the monument visible between the two towers on the further end of the square...which is not square but round ;) )

Took this photo a long time ago, the first time I've visited Madeira island, Portugal. On the way to Pico Areeiro, one of the highest mountains of the island, got this amazing view, almost near the top. It's great to have the feeling that you're above the clouds!

I took the following picture when I was making my last steps in Barcelona before I was heading to the flight back home. I don't really know how this building is called or what it is, but got me through lots of feelings with its medieval architecture.

Photo of the Venice fish market taken during the cleaning after hours. These red curtains give an interesting light contrast in the image. This market is located at the shores of the “Great Canal” next to the Rialto Bridge, for this reason its name is Mercati di Rialto or Pescheria di Rialto.

Since twilight impressions are always enticing - here is one taken in Northern Austria a few weeks ago ~ ✨ ~ It almost looks as if the sun is still shining - and yet there is a full moon on the rise :)
The autumnal colors of this impression will soon be swallowed up by the so much denser mists of beautiful November... I hope to catch them again not only with my bare eyes but some device :)

The Belvedere Palace is one of the largest Baroque palaces in Vienna, and is a great place for a Sunday walk. As the gardens were often used for the festivities of royalty, they are of course superb and filled with beautiful architectural pieces.
