Here I have a fresh photo from the Austrian Alps. I took it last weekend on a hiking trip in the Stubai Valley. It was a wonderful calm morning. After thick clouds had still obscured this view throughout the night I was very happy to wake up at 4am to a clear sky. It was pure magic.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #48 - winner announcement!

@itchyfeetdonica Asian Sunday entry:

As a national symbol of Cambodia, Angkor Wat is the country’s prime attraction that draws a large number of visitors all year round. It's even printed on the national flag. Despite the crowds, watching sunrise over the towers is an unforgettable experience for me. Enjoy this beautiful scene right after the sunrise!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #48 - winner announcement!

@vcclothing Australian Monday entry:

This was the amazing view I got to wake up to every morning while I was staying in a air bnb in Windwhistle New Zealand. The name was fitting as this place is super windy and the wind whistles through the trees. It is also very cold.

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

The moody skies of the Antarctic Peninsula are such a beautiful sight. Although overcast a lot of the time there is still so much to appreciate and the terrain is such a magnificent sight.

@halinaj African Wednesday entry:

I took this photo during my trip around Gran Canaria. And I'm lucky I didn't plan to be in place like this during the sunset :). But luckliy for me I've been. This is a place on Gran Canaria (Artenara) where is statue of Christ a little bit similar like in Rio De Janerio :) But ofc a little bit smaller.

This is another photo from my visit to the beautiful mountains in Switzerland a few months ago. I took this photo just outside the small town of Gletscherschlucht, in the region of Interlaken. There are so many hiking trails connecting these small mountain towns together to make a great summer workout along with an incredible view!

Looks so refreshing compared to our hight temperatures and heat we have right here. What a great image. Thank you Matt.

Buna Spring in Blagaj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The river Buna has some of the freshest water in Europe. Its spring is a popular destination that I visited during my day trip from Mostar around the Herzegovina region.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

That sure looks very inviting!

Mountain valley Flatvaddalen in Trollheimen national park in Norway. Small crystal clear lake below the most characteristic summit in the area - Innerdalstårnet (1521m). Autumnal trip from last year.
Big panoramic shot made from vertical shots. Hand made :).

Great composition, and awesome pano job. This is a super cool picture. I like the symmetry between the water and the mountain peak

Thanks, I was trying to catch the symetry on place, it is not perfect but looks good.

beautiful place for shoting ! Great work !

Thanks, Norway is full of such places...

Yeah, I know ;)

Venice the city in the water. For me an unforgettable experience to visit this city and take pictures. In the picture you can see the Canal Grande and the famous Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute.

Amazing place and amazing image! Well done.

Thank you so much!

(this is a comment, not an entry): OMFG look at my last Venice picture I posted!:

~ 😊🌟 ~ most astonishing coincidence sincerely :)

That is astonishing!

👍🏻😊

This week's entry from we @travelingstories was taken at an hidden gem called "Melisani Cave", in the island of Kefalonia, Greece.

It is a cave you can access by boat, a few hundred meters from the sea with an incredible blueish subterranean river... Its top fell down during an earthquake and revealed its beauty to the outside world!

What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Thank you! :D

Berchtesgarden, Germany
I took this shot a few days ago on my trip to the German/Austrian boarder in the Nationalpark Königssee in Berchtesgarden. The water was crystal clear and perfect for a cool down while enjoying the breathtaking landscape.

What a beautiful piece of nature. Looks so peaceful and unspoiled.

Blue hour picture of a dragon on the Dragon Bridge in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This is definitely one of the coolest bridge features I've ever seen. The EU should adopt a resolution requiring all future bridges to have dragons on them and any existing bridges to be retrofitted with dragons.

this is really gorgeous ~ ✨✨ ~

Wow! Love that statue with the towers in the back. Tremendous shot.

The "Elbe" after passing the czech border, going west towards Hamburg. A pretty sight, with a sunset like this one. Surrounded by Sandstone mountains, green valleys and endless plains on its way up north west. 303-1-13.JPG

Utterly stunning! Well done!

a wonderful atmospheric image ~ 🧡🌟 ~

Manarola is one of five small villages in Italy, called Cinque Terre.
I've been in 4 of them. And some photos I will put here on steemit in future, so stay tuned :).
This place is so popular that since 2016 are some limits for daily visit for tourists.

Sunrise in Rhodos/Greece

I took this photo on my first vacation with a boyfriend. And man, did we fight! But still we had a great time on Vlycha beach on Rhodos island (Greece). We even got up for sunrise one day so that I could take photos. Since then I always do this at least once every time I travel somewhere :-)

I wish I could do the same:)... Well worth the show!

Thank you! After getting up so early you can always snooze at the beach ;-)

Close-up side view of the Bratislava Castle, a massive medieval castle whose origin date back to the 9th century. Towering from an isolated rocky hill of the Little Carpathians, directly above the Danube river in the middle of Bratislava, the castle has been the most dominant feature of the Slovakian capital for centuries.

Puente de Vizcaya was the world's first transporter bridge and connects two suburbs of Bilbao. For capturing this UNESCO world heritage site I mounted a 10 stop ND-filter on my cam and exposed for 30 seconds. The white lines are from the moving transport platform.

New Castle, Stuttgart

This is a part of the New Castle of Stuttgart, the Capital of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The Castle was built between 1746-1807 on behalf of the Dukes and Kings of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It´s in the middle of the city center and quite an impressive building.

Sintra in Portugal is one of those places in the world that suprised us a lot! It has a lot of beautiful sites with its colorful palace, 27 meter deep spiral stairs well and this amazing green pool. It felt like walking into a location of Shrek or Lord of the Rings or something. Amazing!

Nice photo. We were also positively surprised by Sintra when we visited years ago. What a garden... all those epic tunnels and passages. We just loved it! ;)

Yes, it's amazing right! And after all that sightseeing you can go for an affordable and delicious lunch in this cute little town! :)

Right in the heart of Spanish Pyrenean side is a natural water spring from which you can collect your own water. People come to fill hundreds of liters to bring back home.
The scenery is amazing, the trip is well worth and the water is fresh and taste awesome :)

Location: Spain

I walked through that very archway once before in 2008... but didnt realize it until I was walking through it again in 2018 and was stopped dead in my tracks by a dense.. heavy sense of déjà vu... I knew I'd been there before, one evening on the way to a flamenco show.. w/ a street vendor selling antique coins on a table on the left side of the arch... is it still déjà vu if I really have been here before? thank you

Maybe more painting than photograph this impression had been taken in the Swiss — portraying ˋLake Zurich´ during the golden hour as it seems ~ 😊🌟 ~ I payed this area quite many visits related to very important life events... and hopefully will again in the nearer future...! ~ Forever associated with shimmering youth & flying hopes Zurich indeed is one of my favorite European cities... this image here as well had always reminded me of great painter Caspar David Friedrich who was my ˋspecial subject´ for graduation: in whose oeuvre twilight moods ~ the sea ~ ships are returning central themes ~ ✨ ~

Iconic Red Telephone Box

There are so many ways to show the wonders of the world and one that is a great example of a man-made wonder is a red telephone booth - the iconic box! Nowadays it has become a heritage. I think the one I have captured is the K6 design. As on all the kiosks, one can notice a very specific detail - a crown! It was to pay the respect to the Brittish government.
The new designs, for example K8, are nothing like the iconic K2-K6. So enjoy the view!

Visions of St.Paul's Bay

St.Paul's Bay, Malta. Very nice place to book your accommodation while traveling to Malta. Much cheaper than Valletta, but counting all Malta is 30 km long with very nice public transportation system... then does it really matters :)
And yes, this place is just about 100 meters from our hotel and you can take amazing landscapes with perfect foregrounds and backgrounds

Enjoy the scenery!

This is the beautiful Saint Sava Church in Belgrade, Serbia. Although outside it is a marvelous building with wonderful architecture inside the church is unfinished. It has been under construction for 83 years. In the interior only the crypt and the dome are finished.

This is one of the Covadonga Lakes (Lagos de Covadonga). These lakes have glacial origins, and can be found in a beautiful natural park in Asturias region, Spain, called Parque Nacional Picos de Europa. They are one of the park's icons, and are surrounded by easy walking trails, making them (as well as other areas in the park) a very sought-after destination.

Temple of Debod

In Madrid, you can see the Temple of Debod. An ancient Egyptian temple dismantled and rebuilt in the Parque del Oeste, near the Royal Palace of Madrid. The temple was offered to Spain in order to preserve it from destruction due to the construction of a dam.

Tartini square in Pirano (also known as Piran), it is in the Adriatic coast of Slovenia, which is only 46 km long. It is a beautiful city of this small country, and it has a strong Venetian influence. This photo was taken from the Cathedral, located at the top of a hill.

Another amazing post from the Czech global hosts team!

The “Duomo di Milano” is the cathedral church of Milan, Italy. It is the largest church in Italy if we exclude St. Peter's Basilica that is in the State of Vatican City and the third largest in the world. The Cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. Wow !
