7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #99 - winner announcement!

@axeman Asian Sunday entry:

Dialogue. Travel memories from Israel. Shot at the coast of Mediterranean Sea near Old Yaffa, the center of Tel-Aviv. Nice sunny, but not so hot and windy day. Nice place to spend the time nearby the sea, which is actually just after this hill with nice unusual form tree. The bird was just an excellent addition to the composition, which now is telling us the whole story. Enjoy it!

It is situated at Whakapapa Village, at the foot of the famous mountain trio - Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. Partly seen at the background is Mt Ruapehu, one of the two places in the North Island where tourists go to do skiing.

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans entry:

New Zealand Sunset. I enjoyed countless beautiful sunsets during my travels in New Zealand. I usually prefer mountains over beaches, but the beautiful and wild coast of New Zealand certainly is an exception.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #99 – winner announcement!

@karma-panorama African Wednesday entry:

Camel parking lot. When they are not carrying tourists around, they can take a break.
I would have liked to have their faculty of saving water when I visited the desert. They can drink up to 135 litters in 10 minutes and are able to save it for a very long time. Unlike me who suffered of dehydration when I was there. I never saw them take a sip during that hot day.

Aerial view of the little coastal town of Puerto de la Cruz and a part of the picturesque Orotava Valley in the northern part of the Tenerife Island, Spain. Known for beautiful black sand beaches, the town is very popular with tourists.

Location_ Bannalpsee in Switzerland.
Last weekend I finally went to a place I´ve got on my bucketlist fo a long time already. We had perfect weather, and not too warm. While in the rest of Switzerland most people had 30 degrees and more we enjoyed 23 degrees on our highest point (2400 m). The highlight of the refreshment was a short swim in the lake, after about 6 hours of hiking - perfect sunday, isn´t it?

Comporta is a fishing village in Portugal. Besides the wonderful fishing restaurants you can visit the traditional fishing port - carrasqueiras de Comporta. Best to visit at sunset, but bring mosquito repellant.

I passed by Plaza de Cibeles on my visit to Madrid a few years ago. It was the last day of my trip and a Sunday, I had ran out of things to do and was just wandering around the city. Suddenly I saw this magnificent building ahead of me, I didn't know its significance at that time but it was a great way to round off my trip.sc261.jpg

Carriages in Krakow, Poland

Krakow is a beautiful city and when I visited in March, unlike some cities in Western Europe, it was not overrun with tourists. Krakow showcases impressive architecture from different periods of European history.

The "étang du Ponant" near Montpelier in France. I was driving on the road nearby and I just had to stop to take picture of the amazing golden sunset over the pond.

A beautiful national park directly at the Baltic Sea is located in Mecklenburg Vorpommern in Germany.

In the national park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" cranes can be visited in autumn. The viewpoint seen in the picture can be used to observe or relax in nature.

Double Sunset

Amazing sunset shot on Malta with a very very low shooting point catching the reflection from the water surface. Interesting cloud formations brings even doubled dynamics to the final view

This photo is a view on Muiden Marina, North Holland. It is a small town with about 4000 inhabitants, only 12 km from Amsterdam, next to IJmeer Lake. It has a castle, called Muiderslot.
For me this is a typical view. The nice water of the lake, the sailboats. It gives a relaxed feeling. I've been there a couple of times when cycling around the IJmeer.

When we were walking and rolling baby stroller from Kranjska Gora towards Planica we saw a lot of beautiful nature, so I had to stop and take a few clicks. This one was my best from that day...

Monument of the famous composer Johann Strauss (1825-1899) in Stadt Park in Vienna. The Austrian capital is well known as city of music, along its history. Some of the most famous composer lived in this fascinating city. The monument consist in a gilded sculpture of the composer with marble arch which has an interesting symbology.

My entry, thanks so much: https://steempeak.com/travel/@lightcaptured/a-dream-came-true

Being inside a true fairy-tail. Feeling like a fantasy hero. Sensing things that cannot be described.

I can continue that way for some time... As you all know, Italy is an extremely beautiful place on Earth. Puglia region has its unique architecture, history and Nature. They are all really wow and breathtaking!

Once we saw "truli" (singular is "trulo"), we decided we should spend a night in one of those wonders. Since this isn't a cheap experience we had to search for some time, but finally we found a remote small B&B offering the needed service. The night and the morning were unforgettable...

Tavira is a small town in the Algarve region of Portugal. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, and it is nice to walk around the city. Here is the bell tower of one of the lesser known churches of the city.

Parque Nacional de Monfrague is a natural park located in Estremadura region, in Spain. Apart from the great hiking trails through the typical mediterranean landscape, it's home to a huge colony of vultures, and tons of other wildlife. A few minutes before taking this photo, a group of deers was crossing this river!

The Welsh coast is harsh but beautiful. Rocks millions of years old are finally exposed to the sea in their tectonically folded glory.

One more shot of the Old Town Hall on Marienplatz in Munich, which was built in the Gothic architecture style. Definitely a “must-see” place for all the visitors in Munich. A decent place to start your visit to this beautiful city
