Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of North America.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one. Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting the winner announcement posts below:

@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:

The majestic Taj-Mahal made of white marble. Build for a princess and unfortunately used as a tomb where she sleeps for ever. The roof is made of Star Diopside Gems that shine like stars when the moon is full. This is a magnificent place to see and visit.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #18 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Here's something from famous Milford Sound for you. I travelled New Zealand's South Island back a few years ago and at first I was a bit sceptical as to, if this location could live up to all the hype around it. But it didn't dissapoint. Milford Sound is one of the most spectacular locations I have ever visited. The drive there alone was already worth the visit. Then I even got lucky with this sunset.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans week #18 – winner announcement!

@easycome Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Every year, like for 3 years, I draw lots with my girlfriend to see which place to visit in September/October, it's like our vacation trip. But occasionally we do getaways, in Europe to do it with low-cost companies is very economic and easy, which if it is true that I never thought that Iceland was a country that gave so much of itself. Has everything, and very freezing too! From now on, in order to give more truthfulness to the photos, I will tell you the parameters used when taking the picture, so that there are less confusions.So... The Parameters used were: 14mm | f/16 | 15s | ISO 100
Camera: Fujifilm X-E2

@tbarett African Wednesday entry:

I got the chance to go on a safari in Tanzania. We were driving along and suddenly a herd of wild African Elephants came towards us. One of the little ones got a bit itchy I suppose, and came to start rubbing on the log in front of our vehicle. Looks like he's posing for the camera!

I took this photo in September 2015 on my iPhone 5c during my first visit to Mexico City. I was completely blown away by the beauty of this building, the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The building ultimately took 30 years to build between 1904 and 1934, but it was definitely worth the wait. This palace, hosting a wide array of fine arts from opera and dance to painting and photography exhibits, was declared an artistic monument by UNESCO in 1987.

Thank you so much for your great entry Matt! Have a good one. Tomas

Really great image Matt! Keep it up:)

There are thousands of cenotes in Mexico. Cenote Ik-Kil is the most beautiful compared with other cenotes in Yucatan. The cenote itself is spectacular. It is a large water filled hole in the ground fed by an underground river. Also its amazing spot for wild swimming with very refreshing clear water.

Beautiful place! I was there too, on the way to Chichén Itzá. It's so refreshing jumping into the hole to get rid of the heat. =) Btw, do photos of Mexico and the Caribbeans count in this North America challenge? If so, I will have so many more entries. ;)

Beautiful, I have to go there!

What a great place! Thank you for sharing. Tomas

From the moment we arrived, "breathtaking" was my first thought. No wonder at all that the Grand Canyon belongs to the Seven Natural Wonders Of The World. When I took this picture a squirrel decided to photobomb me!

Grand Canyon, Arizona, United States

haha didn't see it the first time through

Haha! It was a curious little fellow! :)

LOL, very nosy:)

American Beauty

I'm really proud of this photo. On this photo, I've captured the real American beauty and also New York. I personally have a weakness for old American cars. They have a unique style and personality that can not be just imitated.

20953561_10212136632669074_5641679012125456975_n.jpg

This is awesome, I wish I had the same car!

Thank you :)

Impressive shot. Yeah, American oldtimers look classy. I posted some from Cuba in the vehiclephotography contest recently, feel free to have a look :)

Thank you, Určitě se podívám :-)

You gotta love the classic!

This beautiful lake is located in the famous Banff National Park about 5 km from the Banff townsite. At its shore you can find the best campground in the Banff area. Much smaller and nicer than the other huge campgrounds in Banff. It is also a great location to spot wildlife in the morning or evening.

I was lucky enough to capture a stunning sunrise after the first snowfall of the year the evening before...

Beautiful reflection!!

What a stunning image! Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

I captured this moment when kayaking the meandering Kissimmee River in the Everglades near Orlando. It is a subtropical marshy wetlands of Florida. I was lucky to spot the American alligator and two Florida cooters(large river turtles) not far from my kayak. :D

Woow! Putting National Geographic in the shade :))

That is some pretty cool scenery! Thank you for sharing. Tomas

This picture was taken on my last trip to Jasper National Park this past new year. One of the most powerful waterfall in the Rockies, Athabasca Falls gets it's flow from melting glaciers, in the winter it freezes up into a large block of ice with a much smaller water flow that continues to cascade down the ice.

Great shot! 👍🏻

Frosty !

The Little Sahara sand dunes in Utah, not far south of Salt Lake City, offer incredible opportunities for abstract photography. I keep going back to this place, revisiting in the day and more often at night. Every time I go I find something different.

Little Sahara

Pretty soon you'll have gone to this place more than i've been there and you live in Canada!!

Lost count but I think I've been there 5 times, the first time was with you. What about you?

Stunning shot! Thank so much for your continued support! Tomas

That goes both ways - thank you!

Incredible👏🏻

Thanks! :D

Very Impressive Shot , looks like a painting !

This is amazing light.

Napa Valley, California !
Here is a photography of Winery Napa Valley, California which I shot in on of our wine tasting visits to the region. The winery is Castello Di Amorosa , we had an amazing experience taking the tour of winery to see how the wine is made, stored and bottled.

Cool shot and lovely colors!

Thank you !

Lovely photo! Thanks for sharing:)

Thank you.

You gotta love Napa! Thank you for sharing.

These are the temples of the sun and the moon near the north part of the park. It takes some offroading or at least many miles of dirt roads to get there... but it's really a special locaiton. One of my favorites in Utah.

Oooh, I love the colors!!!! That's one of my favourite places that I haven't been to.

Wait you haven't been there??
Are you coming for the next Stars n Cars in march??

Nope! Wanted to last time but we decided to go somewhere else and it didn't work out. I would love to be there in March.

What a stunning image. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. Tomas

Appreciate the opportunity to share.

What a great photo! Travelled to the Nationals Parks in California, Arizona, Nevada but we misst Capitol Reef I guess :( Next time!

Yes next time indeed... and make sure to go to the cathedral valley portion of the park.

Okanagan, Canada

This picture was taken up from the mountain and got a bird's eye view of the Okanagan and Summerland in the summer time last year. It was 3-hour ride to Okanagan from Vancouver. Next to the mountain, there are some wine valleys and farms as well. The weather is always warmer and nicer than in Vancouver. Probably this year we will go again for camping :)

The Chrysler Building is one of the most beautiful skyscraper of New York City. It is from the 30's and built in Art-Deco style. It was the highest building in the world before the Empire State was built.

Located in midtown Manhattan, New York City, the Times Square is one of the busiest places I have ever been to. No matter what time, day or season you come here, you will have crowds of people around you and all those giant high-rise buildings above your head. Image taken in December 2015.

I have not been to NY yet but I can't wait to go.... so many places to travel to 😁

IMG_7678.jpg

These fixed binoculars never really made sense to me. They're not that much better than your eyes...and they cost a quarter. But I guess if you really have to see that canoe somewhere on the lake...it's a little helpful. I do think they look really alien though. :) I shot this at Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. one of my fave spots.

Hahaha, those alian binoculars in NYC are legendary :D Very nice shot btw, I like the serene and mysterious atmoshpere :)

Thanks much!

Its a really beautiful spot there but wow the crowds swarm like mosquitoes in a swamp

So many people. Not in the rain though.

Perfect shot! Reminds me of an stock photography image I saw once. Typical NYC ones like @phortun just said.

Thanks! There's only a couple at louise...

Seatlle Harbour

I loved looking over the Seattle bay at all the sailing boats it looked so tranquil! With the blue sky you could barely tell where the sea began and the sky stopped! What an amazing view!

Beautiful !

Thank you!

Venice Beach
During our honeymoon we visited LA and Venice Beach of course. Venice has this special vibe to it what you have to experience yourself. The small canals, the muscle beach, the hipsters and beach esplanade are just fantastic. Don't forget to drink a coffee at Menotti's right behind the arcades on the left side!!! Delicious😃

Last year while in NYC I was at the One World Tower checking out the 9/11 memorial. As I heading out to go see the Statue of Liberty I turned around and saw that the reflection in a nearby building made it look like there were two towers standing in NYC again.

Sitting on the edge of the Hudson River, chilling under the warm sun of summer while capturing street scenes from Big Apple.

Here is a view of the central business district (South Manhattan) shot in Black and White showing people sitting in different grounds.

Between architecture, cityscape and street photography, I give you this moment of New York's life.

Location: New York.

I captured this bald eagle mid-flight over Homer, Alaska. The mountain in the background, Poot Peak, is located directly across the Homer Spit - a 4.5 mile strech of land. Homer, "The Halibut Fishing Capital of the World," attracts a multitude of bald eagles, Alaska's primary bird of prey.

Whilest working in Galveston, Texas I had some time off to go take some photos. The area is pretty industrious with oil rigs being broke down and reconstructed, along with some popular small scale fisheries. There were plenty of classic pelicans around, waiting for their share of the leftovers. This is a B/W photo of a Brown Pelican tucking its beak beneath its wings. The details in its feathers and face were amazing! Shot with a Canon 70D and a Canon 100 - 400mm lens.

Going down into the Bryce Canyon on a hot and sunny July day. Having visited the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park previously, I did not expect to be super impressed by the lesser known Bryce. Oh, was I wrong! Walking through the massive blocks of red stone was an incredible experience! Not to mention the unique spiral shapes of the hoodoos! I look forward to relieving the adventure when I write a longer post about it. But for now, just a snap shot, and a contest entry.

Wickianish Beach, vancouver Island

If you ever happen to need some wood for your fireplace just come over here and get some. It' really impressive to see all that driftwood on the beach, can you imagine how many trees that must be? I wonder where all those trees actually come from, must be a nice story...

Great submission

Love this! Well balanced picture of the Aurora. :D

Hi! I love your pic! However, in order to qualify it has to be accompanied by a text of 30 to 50 words. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas

Ok. Thanks for letting me know; rules are rules and I forgot all about the limit. What happens if its over 50 words ? Is that the same? If its not officially in that means I can re-enter it another week ;-)

What a beautiful shot Robert!!!

Great shot !

Portland Snowpocalypse Sunset

Taken during Portlands short lived 'Snowpocalypse' of January 2017 I took this on our way back from a walk around the Alberta District. We couldn't travel much during our time in Alberta but it gave us the chance to really get to know this amazing little district. We have this one on our wall to remind us of this incredible trip!

Beginning August 2016 it was a period of lots of thunderstorms and flash floods in Utah. We were visiting Monument Valley when a storm was approaching. It was an eerie feeling to see the clouds getting darker and darker. Combined with the impressive rocks in Monument Valley we got a humble feeling...

This is the view from one of the many walking trails along the coastline of the Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, Canada. Seen here is a large sailboat that is passing by, likely carrying tourists staying on or nearby the island. I'd definitely recommend visiting Canada's East Coast if you enjoy beautiful views of the water, like this one!

i personally love this view of Flordia

Early morning sunrise from Pillbox hike on the windward side of Oahu. The sun was just peaking out from behind the clouds as me and 50 or so other early morning adventurers gathered near the peak for the ideal viewpoint.

When I first started my world tour a year and a half ago, I took a train to Toronto and managed to catch the CN Tower's reflection in a near by building. I love shots like this and can never resist the urge to grab them. Hmm, now that I think about it.. I'm currently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and there is a tower here just like the one in this photo.. guess I'll be hunting reflections tomorrow! ;)

Good luck to the participants.. never been outside the shores of my country before..hmmm
By God's grace i will!

Had an international conference in Banff, Alberta, Canada before taking a 3-month vacation in Europe. Banff gives you the feeling of a European town with its high-mountain view back drop seen from the city center. I saw similar spectacular views when travelling across Spain.

This is the most popular restaurant in Havana, Cuba - La Bodeguita Del Medio. I am sure almost everybody knows that this was the place of Ernest Hemingway, where he enjoyed his favorite mojito. Now the walls are full of names of the visitors.

I was there a few months ago :) There is actually a bar, La Floridita, a few blocks from there, where Hemingway has his life-size sculpture at the bar :)

Oh, really? I did not know that!

Yeah, you should check it next time :)

This photo was taken on the day, when Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone National Park erupted for the last time. Steamboat is known as world tallest currently-active geyser. I was in Norris Geyser Basin, just by luck on that day and it was my only day in this area. So opportunity to be part of this was huge for me.

** This photo I take when I travel to the high hill, Datar subdistrict, Padang of West Sumatra.
Padang is indeed a city full of amazing sights,
I myself have visited some of the city's pastures.
No word bored to see the beauty of the padang city,
Although this photo I took with camera phone.
I think it's pretty beautiful even though its pixel camera is very low.
The results of a photo is good or not, not just from the camera alone, but it comes from a photographer as well and from the point where the photo is taken.
So final word I thank you very much for
**

Hopefully, I Hope you like this photo.
