7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #22 – winner announcement!

@thuylannguyen Asian Sunday entry:

This is my photo taken during a trip to Sa Pa in Lao Cai province, Vietnam. Sa Pa Town is located in Lao Cai Province, north-west Vietnam, close to the border with China. Sapa Town is famous both for its fine, rugged scenery and for its rich cultural diversity. Sapa is oriented to make the most of the spectacular views emerging on clear days; it overlooks a plunging valley, with mountains towering above on all sides. Views are often subdued by thick mist rolling across the peaks, but even when it's cloudy, local hill-tribe people fill the town with colour.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #22 – winner announcement!

@finance2nomad Australian Monday entry: (this entry is disquilified as it turns out that this user is fake and stealing images of others)

This is Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand. Mount Cook is the tallest mountain in New Zealand at 3,724 metres (12,218 feet). The park has glacial surrounds, pristine blue lakes and towering alpine peaks, and offers some of the most impressive mountain walks in New Zealand.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans week #22 – winner announcement!

@dmytrokorol Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Motion in blue. I found this interesting rock formation on the Cordoama beach in Portugal and had struggled to find the right position on the wet stones, wiping the lens, covering my camera from splashes and trying to capture the contrast between the motion of water and stillness of rock.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #22 – winner announcement!

@ansharphoto African Wednesday entry:

Deadvlei, Namibia. This place is striking in its lifeless beauty. It’s difficult to imagine that it was ever underwater; now the earth of Deadvlei is cracked and bleached a stark white by the sun. There is little to suggest that life ever flourished there. Even its name — Deadvlei, which means “dead marsh” or “dead valley”— conveys an o ominous sense of the absence of life.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #22 – winner announcement!

@adonisabril European Thursday entry:

The Quaint Fishing Village of Reine. Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to escape? Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life? Dodge the canopies of the concrete jungle? A break from social media. A break from smartphones and computers? Well, the fishing village of Reine is where you'd want to be. It's remote enough to be away from civilization but civilized enough to provide home comforts. You'll likely stay in one of the red fishing houses scattered throughout its bay and inlets. You might even see the famed Northern Lights if you're lucky. You can climb one of the peaks surrounding the village for some of the most breathtaking views in the world. It's one of the places that will make you want to visit Norway.

I've posted a photo or two before from this location because it's one of my very favorites. This is a view of the Empire State Building from the High Line. The High Line is a 1.5 mile elevated park that runs north-south on the west side of Manhattan. I consider it one of the most inspired ideas that the city converted an old, unused railroad line into a beautiful, flourishing and popular park. Other cities could learn from this example.

Very nice point of view :)

New York New York big city of dreams and everything in New York ain't always what it seems
You might get fooled if you come from out of town... I took this picture on my way from Brooklyn to Downtown Manhattan during my Visit back in 2010. Maybe you miss something in the Skyline ? Yes, at this Time they were building the Freedom Tower...

Moraine lake is probably one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Every time I visit there's another view, a different configuration of clouds - it's a photogs paradise. Not to mention with all the hikes in the area - it's a good place to spend the day....if you can deal with all the tourists ;)

Thanks for the upvote @czechglobalhosts :)

This is a day-to-night transition photo taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I left the camera is one position for a few hours to capture daytime light (with a rainbow), and later the blue hour with light trails.

Pittsburgh

Awesome view you got there :)

Thank you! Pittsburgh has a nice cityscape. :)

Very interesting.... so is this 2 photos in one

Yes! It was a first attempt at a day-to-night photo.

Great , I see lot of hardwork gone into this. its very creative. And congrats on the win !

Thank you! :D

Photography was created in September 2014, during our 21 days travel in USA. I can still remember that we were just driving around Yosemite National Park when we saw a nice and small rest place to stop. After looking around, that great view came across and almost 4 years later that photo is competing among other fantastic masterpieces.

monument_valley

Monument valley in USA. I made this photo during our family trip across USA, and we drived more than 5000miles across California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.
And this was first time then I see so bright a milky way. I left my daugthers at the hotel few kilometers away from the valley and went to look for stars at night. I was lucky and was able to take a few pictures until the moon rise.

Nice :) I'd love to explore this part of USA myself it looks so awesome

This is gorgeous!

What a fantastic entry! Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas

Great shot.. one of the best places in US for a roadtrip..

A shot taken while driving on the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (California) from Monterey to Morro Bay.
This region is called Big Sur, and also if it does not have specific boundaries is generally considered to include the coastline segment of California State Route 1 from Malpaso Creek to the entire Santa Lucia range between the rivers.

Big Sur

Sitting on the beach, watching the gentle waves of the beautiful turquoise sea, I had to go grab my camera. I knew I had to share this serene and relaxing scene with other people back home. This is taken in the Turks & Caicos islands in the Caribbean. One paradise that I really want to get back to!

This is a photo from two weeks ago when there was an unusual amount of lenticular clouds above and around Mt Shasta in Northern California, USA. Unlike typical days when one cloud forms and remains stationary for a relatively long period of time, this day multiple clouds kept materializing, stay for a few minutes and de-materialize again.

(my original post contains more photos from that same day as I was driving around the area, each with different cloud formations)

Love the clouds on the tip of the mountain !

Thanks @ashwinrajt

This is my entry today, another picture from NY. Brooklyn is part of New York City. I just walked around Manhattan and find this view. So cool like from old movies. I hope you gonna like it.

I shot this photo during my short stay in Atlanta, USA a few years back at Jackson Street Bridge, the famous location among photographers to capture the skyline at night. I am not much into night photography, this was one of those my early attempts on long exposure.

Hover over Hoover

No drones allowed! Don't make the mistake and fly your drone over the Hoover Dam. We saw some guys who didn't read or didn't want to read the signs and got into big trouble!!!
The Hoover Dam, build as the Boulder Dam, was build between 1931 and 1936 and is the biggest dam of the USA . If you are in the area, be sure to stop for a short visit.

Happy weekend everybody:)

Bienvenidos a Puerto Aventuras! This beautiful small town is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The town is famous for excellent white sand beaches, great conditions for snorkeling and swimming. Visitors can feel safe because it is gated and guarded town.

Picturesque wooden house in the town of Vinales surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the Vinales National Park in Western Cuba. If you decide to visit the extraordinary Caribbean island country, make sure to check this national park too. It is a very relaxed place with fresh air (which is rare in Cuba) and many astonishing views.

Looking through the subway window to see this magnificent urbanscape that is New York City. As the sun is setting over big apple, the sky turned into a kind of vanilla sky and the building start becoming silhouettes in a far distance.

Location: New York, USA.

The buffalo is the iconic animal of the american northwest. In the past there lived millions, today only some thousands are left. When I made a road trip three years ago in South Dakota I encountered this impressive american Buffalo. It is breathtaking when you stand just a few meters away from this stunning and powerful creature...

I captured this deep into the Trinity National Forest in Northern California. I was just finished photographing a waterfall and wasn't expecting a good sunset.

I was wrong.

As soon as I saw the skies started to transform, I wanted to get out of the forest canopy so I can juxtapose a subject with the blazing skies. I turned on the first road I could see and I came across this open field and farm with a barn.

I quickly set up my tripod and snapped a few photos before the scene dissipated.

Calico Cementery located in California (United States), is a place that makes you go back to the times of the gold rush. Set in those years. It is a ghost town with all its businesses and places (school, restaurant, mine, cemetery). The ride on the train is very nice, it allows you to know a little of its history. In addition, the arid landscapes are very beautiful.

I took this photo at the Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. I really like this part of the USA (that is Arizona, Utah and other states in that area). Why? Because it is just so different from Europe (my continent). You can drive all day and all you see is nothing, just nature, no cities. It feels very relaxing. You can see really far and everywhere you can see is just nature. It makes you think quite differently about this planet.

I loved them all, but the most one I loved is the second image which is "Australian Monday"
Magical image :)

I hope from you to continue sharing such great images, This way we make Steemit a wonderful platform :)

This photo was taken on the island of Kauai in Hawaii on the eastern shore at the Koke'e state park. This area is close to the famous Napali coast where hikers from around the world come to see the true beauty of Hawaii left untouched by civilization. There were countless hikes throughout this valley and to my surprise found out that this location is one of the wettest locations on the planet. I was lucky to snap this picture as an hour later clouds rolled in and it rained constantly until we left.

Las Vegas Strip..jpg

This is a view from the Vegas Strip, in it are the most famous hotels and casinos in Las Vegas including the Mandalay Bay Hotel where the Strip ends, a wonderful place to spend time with many recreations to have fun and enjoy the stay in Las Vegas. This Hotel is very close to the famous sign "Welcome to Las Vegas"

Every child dreams of knowing this place in his childhood, I was given the opportunity to be older, but I enjoyed it as a child, the wonderful world of disney in the United States walking through your childhood memories is the best experience you can get, I recommend going in March or April which is low season I love this photo

Great post keep it up

You really do have beautiful pictures in here. I just can't stop looking at the scenery. Permit me to download, you might see them posted by me in the future.

That photo from Vietnam is amazing. I have to visit this country at least once before I die.

Where should I send my photos? Should I make a publication and place the link in the comments of this publication or placed the photo directly here?

You can do either way. I usually create a post first and then copy the image link plus the post link in the comments here. But you can also just place a photo directly in a comment here.

thanks you very much!!
