7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #25 – winner announcement!

@photofreediver Asian Sunday entry:

When I participated in an expedition on on the island of Sakhalin, the bay "Silent" which is in 150 kilometers to the north of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk became one of points of our travel. It has appeared the amazing place with the mountains, improbable on beauty, entirely covered with the juicy-green woods and the tender ocean washing the sandy coast. Absolute paradise for fans of quiet rest with tents, for fishermen and of course for photographers!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #25 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

So here is another entry from beautiful Australia again. This one is a view I found near Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. There are many viewpoints in the area, the most popular being the Three Sisters view. But if you wander along the extensive network of trails along the rim you can also find beautiful views like this, which you will have for yourself.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #25 – winner announcement!

@narchuk Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

It was an amazing meeting in the Andaman Sea. Our group dived first and we were lucky to see one manta ray. But the current in that place was so strong that we spent all the air for about 20 minutes. As a result, we came to the surface at the same time when the second group just descended. And we managed to quickly change the tanks and dive a second time. The second dive was long and calm. This lasted about an hour. And at the very end, when we were about to emerge, I saw two manta rays in the depths. All I needed was for a quick dive and only 3 photos. Then I had to come up. It's amazing that no one else saw these manta rays. As if I imagined them)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #25 – winner announcement!

@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:

When one thinks of the desert, images of yellow rolling sand dunes come to mind. The White Desert of Egypt is nothing like that. This unique scenery of tan and chalk-white landscape is dotted with alien shapes, boulders of brilliant white which thrust up from the surface of the desert. We camped in this dramatic landscape left by an ancient ocean, far far away from civilization.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #25 – winner announcement!

@ansharphoto with the following entry:

Saint Stephen Basilica in the Morning, Budapest

Ecclesiastical buildings are almost always breathtaking, and this one is no exception. A large, intricate mosaic marks the entry to the basilica (it’s so beautiful that I decided to make it the focus of the shot), and the building’s interior is magisterial. The monumental size of the basilica is really only apparent from the inside, where various marbles and precious stones shimmer in candlelight.

This is another photo from my trip last week to Sayulita, Mexico to celebrate a friend's birthday. Walking down to the dock by the ocean offered an incredible view of the ocean and I took advantage of that for photos. This is a sunset shot I took before going out to a delicious dinner in town. I can't say enough great things about Sayulita and the time I spent there!

BloodAurora.jpg

A rare 'blood' Aurora fills the sky across the Northern Rockies. Red or ‘blood' aurora’s are created by oxygen atoms at an altitude of between 200–500 km (120-300miles) colliding in a high energy state and emitting red light at 630 nm. In contrast the more common green aurora are oxygen atoms at a lower altitude of 70-200km (40-120 miles) and lower energy state emitting light at 557.7 nm. In most cases to see a red aurora you need an extremely dark sky and to be looking from a lower latitude across the top layers of a distant high latitude aurora.

★ Beautiful Canadian Wildlife Encounter ★
This photo was taken on our very first roadtrip as a couple in Canada over 11 years ago. We were hiking in the beautiful National Park of Gaspesie, Quebec, Canada, when this majestic moose crossed our path. The animal was splendid minding in own business with no fear as we observed him respectfully. We were lucky to have these beautiful sun rays over him creating this green and dark contrast. (we are no professional photographers but love photos and and still love this photo that reminds us of this beautiful instant).

OMG ! great looking moose. I'm originally from the near by Campbellton/point a la croix, it's been a while since I got a good view of a moose, they are an elusive creature here in the west.

We had been living in Montreal for few months and this was our first hike in Gaspesie, it just appeared and we had never seen one in our entire lives - Amazing sight you are lucky to live in such a beautiful area of Quebec!

Wow lucky you then, your first sight!! Growing up there, moose were the biggest road hazard an saw them every day ( they blend in the twilight and darkness) and cause many car fatalities. Beautiful animal nonetheless! The scenery in Quebec/and New -Brunswick is splendid especially in the Appalachians and the Gaspe coast( covers the entire bay on both sides and different than the town of Gaspe but essentially the same area) but I had to leave because of limited work prospects. On a good note I got to play Frisbee with a moose on my last weekend there(They like to catch it like a dog...oddly enough. Friendly and curious giant but unpredictable when it feels threatened). I upgraded to the Rockies since then :) I'm glad you enjoyed your couple's trip to my homeland and had new experiences!

Oh wahoo, didn't realise, I guess it's like deers in France or Kangaroo in Australia crossing the roads.
We loved our time there, we lived 7 months in Montreal and spent a good 1.5 weeks in Gaspesie during our roadtrip. We spotted bears at the light house in the Forillon National Park as well, that was a little bit scary! Love your country!

"Skies on fire" was taken last week on my recent visit to Alberta's Elk island National Park. A bison/buffalo sanctuary located near Edmonton. Astotin lake has some of the most colorful sunsets as the sun starts to hide behind the false Island that attracts many local photographers.

I drive over this bridge every day on my way home. It is the entrance to Saratoga Springs, the city where I live. Under the bridge is a long pathway that follows a small river that feeds into Utah Lake. There are so many different birds that can be seen along the river during the warmer months.

When you're way up there the air is a little thinner... but the beauty is a little greater. Climbing up to Ha Ling Peak is an amazing experience. It's so close to the city, but it makes it look like you're miles from civilization. An incredible hike in the Rockies and is worth the effort and time.

The striking streets of San Francisco in California, an excellent place for sightseeing, meeting places and incredible people. I wanted to take a photo specifically to the street because I think the tram is something characteristic of this city.

Havasu Falls is a spectacular waterfall which flows over a beautiful travertine formation. Havasu Creek which is spring fed flows through Supai indian village. The Havasupai Indian Reservation is an isolated community with no access roads and is part of the Grand Canyon National Park System. Arizona,USA.

I took this photo in Sedona, AZ. It was taken from a little park-like area found on the road leading up to the airport mesa. I love Sedona's red rock formations. The sunset and rainbow highlights them nicely. IMG_1580_1_2_tonemapped.jpg

Mount Assiniboine, the "Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies", in British Columbia. Visiting Assiniboine requires either a long hike or a helicopter ride. I backpacked in and spent a couple of days in what may be the most spectacular part of Canada.

Congratulations @derekkind this is a beautiful photo!

Photo of the Biosphère of Montreal (Quebec, Canada). It is a geodesic dome of 76 meters of diameter and 62 meters of height. It was built in 1967 for the World Fair Expo 67. It houses a museum dedicated to the environment.

Times Square - New York

Welcome to the Time Square at downtown Manhattan. So this is crazy, loud, hectic, busy and commercial NYC at it's best. Almost 330.000 people passes the Times Square just in one day. No time to relax just go go go ! 🌆

So it was pretty hard to take some good pictures there. There you got the heavy, colourful lights and thousands of people going arround 🗽

I took this picture in the streets around the Times Square with an borrowed Nikon reflax camera from a friend.

I really like this one ...

New york.jpgf.jpg

This photo is in New York, specifically in The Brooklyn Bridge, linking the districts of Manhattan and Brooklyn, this bridge passes over the East River, is one of the most famous bridges that exists in this city where you can find many people Taking a bike ride, walking, taking thousands of photos, is a great place to meet and walk.

From Brooklyn Bridge. a photo where you can see the most familiar city for anyone in the world, so you have never traveled to this city all will know these streets for many movies and news, new york the real jungle of giant buildings

This is my entry for North American photographs, as we travel around America we pass the Golden Gate Bridge, and I take a camera to take pictures of it and we ask people about this bridge and it turns out that the designer of this bridge named Joseph B Strauss, Golden Gate connecting the Gulf San Francisco with the Pacific Ocean. The this bridge stretches over the strait and connects the northern side of San Francisco with Marin County, California. Before this bridge stood, the only way going back and forth between the two places was by ferry.

For many the capital of the world, all these buildings of the wonderful state of Washington DC adorn the most controversial city in the world, some in favor of the policies of the United States and others against, on which we have to agree is that its an infrastructure paradise

A nice photo of one of the coasts of Hawaii, where you can relax and bathe in crystal clear waters, as well as perform water activities such as surfing, snorkeling, diving or canoeing. It also has fabulous sand and extensive vegetation.

My North American Friday post comes from a brisk early morning adventure to Gonzales Point, Victoria, BC In Canada to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. It was a windy day and even the seagulls were having trouble getting anywhere that wasn't at a standstill. I stayed around for a while and caught another person with the same idea as me, standing on a rock in the distance.

Low cloud above Ko'olau golf course on Oahu, Hawaii. I have played this golf course too many times to count and have never gotten tired of the views of the mountains. While this course it a B**** to play it is unlike any golf course you have ever seen and will test every part of your game.

The Bahá'í House of Worship in Chicago is a house of worship where people of all beliefs can come to worship and pray together. It is intricately beautiful both inside and out. One love. 💜

Amazing, beautiful photos. It is good that you make such chalenge.

Summer 2017, New York city. While walking along the Highline, the Coca-Cola van stood out by the brightness of the red. I stopped to take this picture and even went down to eat a slice of pizza at the pizzeria at the corner.

wow ... very beautiful pictures with very good shots ... great ...

amazinggggg photography :)

Living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, you never know what kind of day you will have before looking out the window. Less than a week before spring and we get another snowstorm. At least that allows us to admire a pretty landscape one more time.

My entry about North American, I am ever to temporarily live in America for college and this is a portrait of a countryside in America, the scenery here is very charming and the cool air makes us feel at home to live here, living here is very comfortable away from the hustle and bustle vehicles, and at night here there can be no crowd outside the house and if any, the police directly faced with us to ask about the crowd that we make it.

great!! awesome photo's @czechglobalhosts .l never bored of you l will support you and them to be the best one and l will resteem this post to tell other

This is my photo when the streets at night around the Golden Gate bridge, the view at night time is soothing eye, from here looks Golden Gate light shining like a star-studded.

At that time in the afternoon my friends and I went to a beach that is a beautiful panorama of nature with colorful in the western horizon adds beauty when the eyes look at it, I and my friends enjoy it together.

Lovely evenings enjoy the glowing lights around the Sanfransisco bridge

As a teacher there are not a lot of things more typical than a real American schoolbus. If you're not from the States, it's actually a cool excursion. Maybe not with the children in it though!! ;) DSC_1184.JPG

Wow! these are stunning, bravo to the photographers!
