@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

The Great Ocean road really is a nice drive, especially when the sun is out. You can do it in a few days to really enjoy the sceneries. These are the famous 12 apostles or what left of it! They are slowly disappearing because of the ocean erosion.

@marc-allaria Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

I still try to propose underwater photography for the Tuesday World Oceans contest ! This week a nice red gorgonia shot around Pasoso Island in Sulawesia. A lot of current kept the sea really clear as you can see. On the gorgonia, you can see a black comantula which is the same family of sea star.

The Table Mountain in Capetown. This picture was taken on the way to the top of the Lion's Head. This is a fairly easy hike (about 1h), but you have some gorgeous views over Cape Town.

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre opened in 1930 right next to the corner of Hollywood and Vine. It began as both a first run movie theater as well as a vaudeville theater but the Great Depression forced it to become a movie theater only. It's biggest claim to fame was hosting the Academy Awards from 1949 to 1959, meaning classics such as All About Eve and On the Waterfront won Best Picture here at this theater. The movie theater closed in 1977, but reopened in the 1990's for live stage productions of touring Broadway musicals that still continue today. And this theater is such a part of my neighborhood that I took this photo this morning on my way home from the gym!

That is a cool and creative shot. It is cool that you have such cool history in your neighborhood.

Very nice, I love the point of view!

Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon.

Crescent Moon Spires

It is awesome to see these two red rock formations lit up so nicely. As the light begins to fade a soft crescent moon appears between the pair of spires. This photo was captured next to Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona Arizona USA.

Glad to see another of your entries from Sedona entering the contest. Beautiful!

This my entry.
Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, USA.
We went there with my husband for our vacation. We were newlyweds and were eager to travel.
This place is amazing. I’ve never seen anything like this unusual rock formations before.
It is known for crimson-colored hoodoos, which are spire-shaped rock formations. The park’s main road leads past the expansive Bryce Amphitheater, a hoodoo-filled depression lying below the Rim Trail hiking path.

Truly spectacular place and image.

Thank you @czechglobalhosts. It’s such an honor to hear compliment from professionals like you and @derangedvisions.

Awesome shot. This is only a few hours away from my house.

Thank you @derangedvisions. It’s probably nice to live not far from such a beautiful park.

Thanks for you

Short climb from the side path offers this magnificent view on Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park. So far still the nicest place on Earth of these I had visited. With little less than 9.000 square kilometers it offers such natural beauty that it is really easy to take good photos.

Awesome, this really is a nice view of the spring.

Kilauea Volcano, Big Island, Hawaii
I took this picture almost exactly one year ago and I had to wake up at 4am to get the picture of the glowing volcano. After recent eruptions, this all looks much more dramatic now - see the pictures and videos by Hawaii County Fire Department on flickr

What a great place. Thank you so much for sharing your entry with all of us.

Photo captured during the sunset over Lake Livingston in Trinity Texas, with a working dog sitting and waiting patiently for her owners to return. No swimming in the glassy-smooth water for her, because when the sun goes down... the alligators come out looking to feast. Thank you

What a beautiful image. Thank you so much for that. Tomas

Thank you Tomas I appreciate the kind words as always.

A view of Vista House at Crown point in the Columbia River Gorge just outside of Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately the gorge was heavily damaged last summer by a wildfire that was caused by a 15-year-old boy throwing firecrackers while hiking. It was recently announced that he will have to pay $36 million in restitution.

What a stunning nature and great entry. Thank you for that.

Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona. It is hard to imagine that 200 million years ago dinosaurs were roaming here and this place was actually a Rainforest. It now hosts a big amount of petrified wood and a colorful desert.

Oh yeah, it would be great to go back in time and see the place then.....

Taken this last May long weekend that just passed, Astotin lake, Alberta is now coming back to life both with wildlife and people. A young family enjoying the sunset on the floating docs. I really liked the halo around the sun and the way it reflected on the water in between them.

Urban illusion:

Tall building rising to the sky till I can almost not distinguish the point where is the end of this giant. Manhattan is way too big but some of the building are just masterpieces such as this One World Trade Center.

Location: Manhattan, NYC, USA.

Nice blues. I have only seen this building when it was in its last stages of construction. It's a very elegant design.

It is indeed a very nice and well thought building. And the glass facade are almost acting like a mirage when there is no clouds in the blue sky.

Tulum Maya Ruins, Yucatan

The Maya ruins of Tulum are surrounded by lush green vegetation. The location right next to the Caribbean sea makes this place even more beautiful and certainly a must-visit on a trip to Yucatan!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

I want to visit Mayan ruins. It would be so cool to see something from this era.

Macan ruins are amazing, some have detailed ornaments as well. Yucatan is not far from the US, you should definitely go! :)

High Line park is a pedestrian green oasis that arose from the conversion of an old transport route from the 1930s. It's a thriving public space, where not only curious tourists but also New Yorkers themselves spend their free time and relax. As you can see in the photo, from High Line you can watch also Empire State Building.
Ahoj!

The picture of this colorful humming-bird was shot in the Monteverde National Park in Costa Rica. Monteverde is an incredible beautiful cloud forest in the mountains of Costa Rica. If you are really lucky, you can spot the rare Quetzal - the national bird of Guatemala.

Kananaskis.jpg

Kananaskis Country is a park system located west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in the foothills and in front of the Canadian Rockies. The country of Kananaskis can be accessed by three roads that intersect with the area: Highway 40, a segment 66 km (41 miles) from Bighorn Highway and also known as Kananaskis Trail; Highway 66, a 28 km (17 miles) highway that originates near Bragg Creek known as Elbow Falls Trail; and Highway 68, a 42 km (26 mi) gravel road that originates from the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) known as the Sibbald Creek Trail.

An odd landscape on the Yucatan peninsular in Mexico - a pink lake, salt and we got to see flamingos as well (not pictured here). I would love to go back there with my drone.

In this photo I show the Golden Gate, this is a suspension bridge located in California, United States, which connects the peninsula of San Francisco on the north with the south of the county of Marin. This is the most famous bridge in this area, where there are multiple boat rides to see its majesty, where many tourists spend daily.

A large island located on the Mississippi River, just south of downtown Tampa, at the southernmost point is the Davis Islands, a beautiful place in the United States for holidays, where the beaches are crystal clear and you can do very recreational activities in the sea, as is diving.

I took this image with a GoPro Hero 3+ while working, living and hanging out in an Adventure Lodge up in the mountains just 15 minutes away from Boulder, Colorado.

I'm from Venezuela where there is no snow season, actually no winter at all, this was my first experience with snow and what a day. It was so awesome to wake up weirdly colder than other days and walk to the window to check out how was the wheather and... Surprise! It's Olaf's season!!!

Those photos are quite beautiful, and places are magnificent.

Great Asia Road Valley ... The pic has a glimpse of heaven ... you made my soul happy.
