@axeman African Wednesday entry:
African sunrise. Early morning at Hurghada, Egypt. Very calm and wonderfully colorful one. Shot at the beach just on the territory of the hotel. This time sun already risen, but hided behind narrow line of clouds on the horizon, allowing to get few more pretty unusual frames with a sunbeams spreading both to the top and to the bottom. Some silhouettes of the boats far away... Shot with long tele-photo lens compressing the perspective. Enjoy the scenery :)

My entry was an easy choice this week. Flying home from Puerto Vallarta on Sunday I had a window seat that gave me a perfect view of downtown Los Angeles in the late afternoon. I love to travel but I also love seeing the view as I'm coming home to the city I love.

Sitting on the south-facing slope of the Mount Hollywood in the Griffith Park, it offers amazing view of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest.

Colorful Cloudburst
The summer monsoon season gives us some dramatic stormy sunsets. While the daily cycle of convection draws to a close one final small storm pops up over the high terrain. And down below Cockscomb formation is surrounded by misty air from heavy rain earlier in the day. Sedona Arizona USA.

Palms at Sunset in Hawaii
Hawaii is a place of incredible natural beauty. In 2016, I spent 12 days hitchhiking around Big Island. This was the first Hawaiian sunset that I experienced, near the place where I put up my tent.

This photo is from famous Antelope Canyon.
Actually there is upper and lower Antelope Canyon and my photo is from more touristic (and nicer as they say) upper canyon. You can go there only with a guide, who is a local Navajo tribe and also entrance fee goes to them.

The snow is melting into Music - Maroon bells
The Maroon Bells are mountain peaks in the Elk Mountains located close to Apsen, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak. These peak points are separated by about a third of a mile. The mountains are the line of separation between Pitkin County and Gunnison County of Colorado, United States. Which is about 12 miles south to Aspen. Both peaks Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak are above 14,000 feet where Maroon Peak is 150 feet taller than North Maroon Peak.

Lake Pend Oreille
This summer I got to take a sunrise flight over some of the most beautiful wilderness areas of north Idaho. In this photo the sun is just rising over the eastern mountains and casting a vibrant glow on the surrounding peaks. Taken from inside the cab of a Cessna 182.

Banff National Park at Alberta, Canada is wonderful place. At the Canadian Rockies is plenty of mountains, rivers and leks. One of these interesting mountains is Mount Rundle, shown in the photo. It has a characteristic shape. It is named after Robert Rundle a Methodist reverend who did a missionary work in Western Canada around the years 1840s.

A voodoo doll from New Orleans, Louisiana. I saw a lot of different models, some cutter some not that much and some scarier… I always thought it was only used to make harm, but when I read the notice, I realize that most of the time, it is use for good. It all depends on the color of the pin use to spike the doll.
