Hello fellow Steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of North America.
See the winner of the last week´s North American Friday @justinmullet with the following entry:
This is an aerial drone view along the shoreline of Kelly Island on the Pend Oreille River in Washington last summer. It's fun to see the change in perspective you get with a drone as everything looks quite different when you view it from above at a distance.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.
Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #71 - winner announcement!
@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:
From the highest roof of Dhaka, the view is incredible. The scenery is almost futuristic, old buildings falling a part and new construction shining under this magnificent light. The pollution creates a fog sitting over the capital gives the final touch to this photo.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #71 - winner announcement!
@dronegraphica Australian Monday entry:
The lonely mountain - Taranaki. This mountain stands alone in the heart of Taranaki in New Zealand and is regarded by the Maori as a god, therefore a living being that must be respected. The surrounding countryside is simply stunning with all the little undulations.
@marc-allaria Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Hi @Czechglobalhosts, this is one of the most beautiful mechanics that the sea has invented. Also very loyal diving companions around Cocos Keelings Islands. This one is a grey shark.

Kjeragbolten, Norway. This 5m³ big stone is wedged between two rocks in the height of 1050 meters. If you are not afraid of heights you can walk on the stone for an awesome adrenalin kick and a really amazing picture :)

Street full of beautiful traditional houses found in the Campeche City, Mexico. Officially known as San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche City is the largest and capital city of the Mexican state of Campeche. Located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the southwestern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, the city is currently home to some 220,000 people who refer to themselves as "Campechanos". Founded in 1540 by Spanish colonialists, the city was built on the site of what used to be the ancient Mayan city of Can Pech. A significant part of the old buildings built by the Spaniards in the 16th and 17th century is still well preserved, giving the city its characteristic colonial atmosphere and the unique historic feel.
You can find more photos from Campeche here.

I've been urged several times by @ladybug146 to post a picture here as I'm always with her whenever she takes pictures. Generally I deny her requests as my photography equipment consists of only my iPhone and therefore don't come close to being as beautiful as hers. This quick picture was taken while I was patiently waiting for her (you can actually see her walking back along the side of the road) alongside Highway 1 near Banff close to Castle Junction

Split Rock lighthouse sits upon the edge of a cliff on the North Shore. It was constructed after a series of ships smashes into the surrounding rocks; now, it serves as the North Star of the North shore. The area is beautiful for walking and hiking around the nearby paths and beaches.
