Winter Magic. It's a beautiful thing to see. Majestic towering red mountains turned white under a blanket of fresh snow. While the setting sun turns light into winter magic, which spreads wonderful color across the land and sky. But only for a few precious moments. Sedona Arizona USA.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Wahiba Sand Desert Oman. Today I share another picture I took in the desert of Wahiba Sands. You can see the stunning sunset around this incredible area. One of the most peaceful places I have been on all my travels.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #74 - winner announcement!
@gunnarheilmann Australian Monday entry:
This Boab Tree is located just a few kilometers from Emma Gorge at El Questro on Gibb River Road in Western Australia. There is no Light Polution at all.
On of the hotest nights i ever spent Light Painting. 39.5° C 2AM - impossible to sleep full on sweaty sleeping on the car in the middle of f-ing nowhere. Anyhow the photo was totally worth it. This Boab Tree was so impressive and also noisy. What you cant see nor hear are all the frogs that were sitting in that tree. So cool. What you see here is a 40sec. exposure and i run with my colored flash lights towards the tree and shine at the ground first then the tree second. If you look closely you can also see my feet. I think it adds some organic texture and makes it more real than just some photoshopped effect. FYI > The huge bright spot next to the tree is not the moon. That is Saturn!
@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Those magical mornings when you wake up and look outside and realise the beauty of what’s passing by. Antarctica truly does blow the mind. One of the last truely untouched parts of our planet.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #74 - winner announcement!
@gabrielgaso African Wednesday entry:
This is my entry! A small walk through the desert can serve to clear ideas. Our passage through the desert of Merzouga left us with incredible views, it was the first time we were there and, everything seemed like a movie!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #74 - winner announcement!
@jpphotography European Thursday entry:
Tram in Prague. The day I took this photo the sky looked very dark, but the sun was still shining on the streets of Prague. I went to see the "dancing house" and on my way back towards the old town, I found myself in this beautiful street.

Path into the green unknown. I took this shot just a few days ago while exploring the beautiful natural surrounding of a cenote in Tulum, Mexico. The plants are mangroves - shrubs or small tree that grow in coastal saline or brackish water. They occur worldwide in the tropics and subtropics and they are very important for the ecosystem.

Carnivals are celebrated all over Latin America. While the carnival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico is not as wild as in Brasil, it is growing in popularity each year. The carnival is supposed to be a time to party and enjoy life, just before the solemnity of the holy week celebrations.

I took the photo of this wild chipmunk, while I was hiking in the Banff National Park (Alberta, Canada). This place is plaint full of wild life. I was lucky that I found that it posed in front of my camera. These chipmunks are different from the common squirrels that you see in the park. They make their burrows and nests underground.

Zion National Park
One of our favorite national parks in the whole US is the Zion National Park. This picture was taken at the begin of the hike up to Angels Landing, which was probably the best hike we ever made.

Located just outside of Edmonton in Devon Alberta, hides a garden built in the middle of the forest. This garden is part of the U of A program and their database of all the plants they have. This is the new part we got to visit last summer, it's not completed yet but the fountains were all functional and with stunning deigns in the walkways. It will be completed this summer and have it's grand opening.

Colourful Hallway in Havana
Havana has some beautiful architecture. I love how colourful the Cuban houses are, but only few facades are in a shape as good as this hallway; Money is rare and the Cuban government only restores facades in the most touristy areas.

The Wild west in the US is a fantastic playground for all of our cameras - My entry for this weeks America challenge is a Light Painting of the Double Arch in Arches National Park, Utah. I lit up the place from 3 different spots - if you look closely you may see it. Its still a single long exposure ;-)

This was taken at Maligne Lake last summer. The forest fires going on made it a little hazy but the trip to Spirit Island was definitely worth it! Make sure you book your boat tickets in advance!

One of the very few free things we can do in Las Vegas. The fountain show in front of the Bellagio are something to see. They are different every night, but you need to arrive early to get a nice spot . The wait is worth it!

The Minnehaha Falls are located within the Minnehaha City Park, along the banks of the Mississippi river in Southern Minneapolis. In the summer the falls offer a fresh breeze from the hot Minnesota summers, while in the winter the falls freeze over and look like something out of Narnia.

Hi, czechglobalhosts, what is the resolution of the image to post? Do I have to post with a high or low resolution?
