@vcclothing Asian Sunday entry:

My view from the hotel balcony at Atlantis on the Palm in Dubai, was the perfect spot to watch the sun set behind our building as we relaxed after a long flight from Africa. After 3 weeks of camping through Africa the Atlantis had the most comfortable bed ever haha.

@itchyfeetdonica Australian Monday entry:

This is the stunning sunset at Whisky Bay, a peaceful stretch of sheltered beach inside Wilsons Promontory National Park in Victoria, Australia. After we drove to the car park in the heavy rain and walked through a moist gully and sand dunes, we arrived to this amazing secluded beach when the sun came out and started to set.

Ex Templo de San José. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful churches in San Francisco de Campeche for its facade, which exhibits a modest baroque style in which the use of tiles of the Talavera type stands out admirably.

Once one of the most important religious and cultural centers of the ancient Mayan civilization in Mexico, Tulum used to be known as "Zama", meaning "the place of the rising sun" in the old Mayan language but when covered with heavy clouds, this place also has an interesting appeal. This is a close-up of one of its many ruins.

Last weekend @jarvie and I went to Sedona after one of their biggest snow fall in years. It was absolutely gorgeous. I love the red rock, green trees and cactus, blue skies and white snow. It is such a magical combination. Link to post.

Nice shot I like it. Glad you made it up here to get your dream photos of Sedona in snow. This was a historic snow storm and officially one of the top ten in history. Here's a link to the whole story from the National Weather Service. Good luck in the contest!

Forget about the Antelope Canyon. If you want to experience a really amazing and adventerous slot canyon you have to visit the Hole-in-the-rock-road, especially with the Peek-A-Boo-Gulch and Spooky Gulch.

Payphones in Cuba

With a minimum wage of only USD 9 per month and the US trade embargo pushing up prices, not all Cubans are able to afford a mobile phone, although they are becoming more common these days. For many people in Cuba, payphones are still the only telephone they have access to.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Dug this one out from the very beginning of my bird cams life out of the package it came in. I must have gotten lucky to have captured this in such a manner to create this diffuse dream like lighting aura. Just reminds me of that song "Midnight City" as the Sun sets.

Brings back the memories from that time.

Shot in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Impressive shot for sure but you might want to add the location of the place ;)

Thanks!

This is a lucky shot one gets rarely. Last year i was at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in California photographing at night. Then take a 4000 years old tree, 3 Shooting Stars (the third one is hard to see in low res) and a plane add the Milky Way and wait for this to happend it in front of you in the same minute you sit there. I got lucky and managed to get it in one single long exposure Light Painting. Starting off with a first 2minute of the exposure at F22 ISO 3200 lighting up the Metusalem, then when I was finished with that I gave the Milky Way another 30 seconds to develop, changing the settings of the lens to F2.8. Then we saw 3 shooting stars in the sky plus that air plane. What a surprise! What makes that picture so special is that there was no layers needed in post-production. Just the way I like it, No Photoshop needed.

please see my todays blog post as well ;-)

Lake-Superior-hiking-trail-at-N-24th-Avenue-1024x675.jpg

Duluth, Minnesota may be one of the most underrated hiking destinations in the country. The trails of Duluth and the surrounding North Shore region are considered a local gem to us Minnesotans, but it still baffles me how Lake Superior’s beauty and surrounding greenery don’t attract more national and international visitors.

There is a lot to do in Vegas beside partying, the are a lot of shows to see from Celine Dion to Cirque to Soleil, to Magic Show, etc. This is the Winn Theatre of Las Vegas’ Nevada. Did not see a show there but I found the tulip sculpture pretty.

This picture was taken at the Henry C chambers waterfront park, at Beaufort, South Carolina, last winter in February 2018, at the time that I and my family went there to pick up my son from the marine boot camp at Parris Island. So we stop there at the park in the evening to see the beauty of the park.

spectacularly beautiful.
