Hello fellow Steemians!

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one. Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting the winner announcement posts below:

@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:

The majestic Taj-Mahal made of white marble. Build for a princess and unfortunately used as a tomb where she sleeps for ever. The roof is made of Star Diopside Gems that shine like stars when the moon is full. This is a magnificent place to see and visit.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #18 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Here's something from famous Milford Sound for you. I travelled New Zealand's South Island back a few years ago and at first I was a bit sceptical as to, if this location could live up to all the hype around it. But it didn't dissapoint. Milford Sound is one of the most spectacular locations I have ever visited. The drive there alone was already worth the visit. Then I even got lucky with this sunset.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans week #18 – winner announcement!

@easycome Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Every year, like for 3 years, I draw lots with my girlfriend to see which place to visit in September/October, it's like our vacation trip. But occasionally we do getaways, in Europe to do it with low-cost companies is very economic and easy, which if it is true that I never thought that Iceland was a country that gave so much of itself. Has everything, and very freezing too! From now on, in order to give more truthfulness to the photos, I will tell you the parameters used when taking the picture, so that there are less confusions.So... The Parameters used were: 14mm | f/16 | 15s | ISO 100
Camera: Fujifilm X-E2

@tbarett African Wednesday entry:

I got the chance to go on a safari in Tanzania. We were driving along and suddenly a herd of wild African Elephants came towards us. One of the little ones got a bit itchy I suppose, and came to start rubbing on the log in front of our vehicle. Looks like he's posing for the camera!

Capitol Reef, National Park, Utah. These are the temples of the sun and the moon near the north part of the park. It takes some offroading or at least many miles of dirt roads to get there... but it's really a special locaiton. One of my favorites in Utah.

Beautiful golden-sand beach surrounded by lush tropical vegetation at Punta Uva, Costa Rica. It is a short bike ride from Puerto Viejo, one of the most popular tourist towns on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, but as you can see in the photo, the beaches at Punta Uva are far from crowded.

Puerto Viejo is a coastal town in Limon Province in southeastern Costa Rica. It is a popular tourist destination also known in the surfing community for the biggest and most powerful waves in Costa Rica. The beaches are so beautiful and surrounded by jungle. Puerto Viejo also has some really interesting and unique (weird) bars and restaurants.

Thank you so much for your great contribution. Tomas

very beautiful, whare it is??

La Paz with the mighty Illimani in the background. I went to this viewpoint in El Alto for sunset and stayed just until the city lights began to illuminate the city below. With the blue sky of the blue hour above this created a beautiful color contrast. After taking the photo it was a long 75 minute taxi drive through rush hour back to hour hotel. But it was worth it.

Wow amazing photo!!

Stunning shot again! Did you miss the teleferico back to the city? Could be less than 75min by 🚕 ?

No we went by taxi because I found the way from this viewpoint back to the teleferico a bit scetchy in the dark. I had way to expensive camera gear ;-) The taxi was worth it for the photo. But the streets where crammed in all directions down in La Paz

Holy moly.....

Brilliant , love it !

What a stunner!

I reached Torres del Paine National Park by boat through Rio Serrano, and after some hiking, I was stunned by this view at sunset - five elegant guanacos grazing at the altiplano steppe, with the magnificent snow mountains as the backdrop.

Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.

When I was exploring the high plateau altiplano in the Andes with a 4x4 for some weeks I saw lots of wildlife like Llamas, wild donkeys and Vicunas...
Here is one of my favourite shots: not a classical wildlife closeup image but a panorama landscape image where the Vicuna fits nicely in.

The Vicuna was posing for me in the perfect position in front of this breathtaking landscape.

Haha, we both kept our promises...

Yes we have. Haha

Sounds like an amazing pace to visit! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

Last year when I was visiting Peru I made friends with an Italian traveler and when we headed to Cusco we took the tour to the rainbow mountains. It's a 7 hour round trip hike that tops out at 5300m above sea level and it rained the whole time but it cleared up for a few minutes and I got this shot.

Lake Pehoe.jpg

Lake Pehoé - Torres de Paine - Chile

This is one of the most beautiful lakes I have seen in my life. We were very lucky this day, because it was snowing just a few hours before and the mountain tops were completely covered in the clouds. Then this beautiful day with a blue sky opened up. Just magical!

Great pic! Thank you for joining the challenge. Tomas

Thank you for organizing the challenge! It has been wonderful to participate.

Morro do Pico, Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

The beautiful island of Fernando de Noronha, in the Northeast of Brazil, in the state of Pernambuco, has won several prizes for the best beach in the world. With a limit of visitors per day, the beaches are hidden paradises with a gigantic biodiversity and beautiful landscapes. The photo of the stars is in front of the Morro do Pico, the tallest spot on the island. It is possible to climb that rock!

If you want to ckeck out my post with this and more photos, click here!

What a great entry! Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement that will be coming later on today. Tomas

Thank you so much!

Greetings lovers of photography like me, this is my participation in the Challenge of photography of the continents of the world - South American Saturday, this photograph is a creation on a trip that takes place in the archipelago of Los Roques, located at 176 km North of the city of Caracas- Venezuela is part of the Insular Territory Francisco de Miranda. A fascinating place of waters with blues and green degradations.

Great entry, thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Have a good one. Tomas

I captured this photo in the Magallanes Straits, outside of Puerto Natales, Chile.

I was blown away by the landforms of the area and spent the whole morning eagerly sketching the shapes as we cruised the waters.

Specifically, this cliff houses a colony of South American condors.

The mysterious statues of St. Agustin

Verry little is known about the St. Agustin culture that existed in Southern Colombia for thousands of years. Near the village of St. Agustin in Southern Colombia hundreds of statues like this one have been excavated. They are estimated to be around 1.500 years old.
St. Agustin will become a well-known tourist hotspot very soon, but when I was there in 2015, the touristic development was still at its beginning since the Colombian civil war had just ended.

In fact, Colombia has a lot to offer at a tourist level, to pray that the illegal armed groups are no longer the protagonists of the news, if not the natural beauties that we have.

Colombia is such a wonderful country! It was a shame I had only two weeks to travel Colombia, but I enjoyed my time there a lot. At the time I was there, there were still FARC rebels and armed groups in the area around St. Agustin, but it was mostly safe to visit. Since the peace treaty has been approved now, I hope the situation is better?

For now everything seems to be calm. We are going to pray that this is lasting.

Photo of Iglesia de la Candelaria in Bogota, Colombia. This temple was built in the Spanish Colonial style, and it was built at the end of the XVII century. Its architect was Diego Sánchez de Montemayor.

During a tour in Cafayate region, Argentina, we stop on the side of the road to admire the view. A small chapel was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains.

I present a small piece of the "San Martín" square in Lima, Peru. Located in block 9 of the avenue Colmena inside the historical helmet of the city of Lima. Its name comes in tribute to the liberator José de San Martín, leader of the independence of Peru.

Hi, This photo was taken in Tikal National Park, Guatemala. These ancient Mayan ruins are in the heart of the jungle, about an hours walk. Once you are there it is truly breathtaking to see the superb temples and palaces which was once a major site of Mayan civilization and possibly date back to the 1st century A.D. There are many temples to explore including the giant, ceremonial Lost World (Mund o Perdido) Pyramid and the Temple of the Grand Jaguar. At 70 meters, Temple IV is the tallest pre-Columbian structure in the Americas.

This is the sunset taken from our cruise ship in the Galápagos Islands, we were there in November 2017, we were cruising from La Española Island after taking pictures of many wild animals, we took this picture over the board of the cruise ship with our Canon 70D and then went for dinner.

This place looks like it's a dream, which is from movies or even cartoons...

It's great, I recommend going between December and February, which is the time when this salt flats found in Bolivia it will find with water, so could take photos with mirror effect, thanks to the water that stays stagnant, in addition to that, I'd recommend going with a guide because if you go by yourself you could die in this desert of salt in case you get lost.

The Parameters used were: 50mm | f/5.6 | 1/640 | ISO 100 📷
Camera: Fujifilm X-E2 and his sketch camera effect

Great pictures. They show how beautiful our world is.

I like this place which you shared.Torres del Paine National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Torres del Paine)[3] is a national park encompassing mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers in southern Chilean Patagonia. The Cordillera del Paine is the centerpiece of the park. It lies in a transition area between the Magellanic subpolar forests and the Patagonian Steppes. The park is located 112 km (70 mi) north of Puerto Natales and 312 km (194 mi) north of Punta Arenas. The park borders Bernardo O'Higgins National Park to the west and the Los Glaciares National Park to the north in Argentine territory. Paine means "blue" in the native Tehuelche (Aonikenk) language and is pronounced PIE-nay.[4]

Torres del Paine National Park is part of the Sistema Nacional de Áreas Silvestres Protegidas del Estado de Chile (National System of Protected Forested Areas of Chile). In 2013, it measured approximately 181,414 hectares.[1] It is one of the largest and most visited parks in Chile. The park averages around 252,000 visitors a year, of which 54% are foreign tourists,[2] who come from many countries all over the world.
