Hi friend, time without participating in this great contest. My entry, I published it days ago. It was a ramdom picture taken from the balcony of my house to the sky of the city of Merida, in Venezuela. It was taken at approximately 6:30 PM in the afternoon. It is the perfect time to capture the last rays of the sun, which illuminate the city. It's a really beautiful show.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #54 - winner announcement!
@axeman Asian Sunday entry:
Battle of Gods. Insanely colorful stormy sunset at Tel-Aviv shot in February few years ago. The main beach of Tel-Avis was just splashed by the warm colors of the dawning sun, well mixed with overall cold blue colors
Wide angle lens used to catch most of perspective. Color grading in post-production (LR+PS). Enjoy the scenery :)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #54 - winner announcement!
@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:
This photo was taken a few years ago during a hike up to Roys Peak near Wanaka in New Zealand. The weather was very dynamic and provided some interesting play of light and shadow. I oped for a black and white here to emphasise those nice contrasts.

@crazy-andy African Wednesday entry:
For today’s African photo there is one of my favorite shots from that continent. I don’t know exactly why, but I simply like it. We can see cohesion of flora and fauna there. Big African elephant walking through the horde of impalas those graze in savannah.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #54 - winner announcement!
@travelshots European Thursday entry:
Together with Segovia and Avila, Toledo is one of three amazing, historical cities that you can reach very fast and easily from Madrid by train, within a day trip. The old town, that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage, is located on top of a hill, surrounded on three sides by a bend in the Tagus River.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #54 - winner announcement!
@justdentist North American Friday entry:
Yosemite National Park. It's been over two years now that we finished our 4 week honeymoon in the western part of the USA. Yosemite NP was one of the hightlights for sure. Great trails and hikes, so much to explore and an incredible Airbnb stay at Susan's home in Oakhurst. Expected many, many tourists but I still think it's worth going if in the area.
Have an incredible weekend everybody :)

This photo was taken in the sand dunes of the beaches of Punta del Este, the second largest city of Uruguay. It is one of the most fashionable city resort of the southern hemisphere, for this reason it is known as “Monaco of the South”. It is located where the water of the Rio de la Plata meets the Atlantic Ocean. In the background of the image it can seen the skyline of buildings of the city.

After a 4 day treck we finally made it up to Machu Picchu in Peru. Once we reached the top of the mountain it was covered in cloud and couldn't see more than 10m in front of us. We waited for the clouds to leave and I snapped this pic. It was an amazing adventure!

Amazing shot. This is one of the places that is on my bucket list. Was there a village you could hold sloths on your way up?

Here is the marvelous Marble Caves (Cuevas de Mármol) in the Patagonian Andes of Chile. It's not easy to reach this peninsula of solid marble bordering a remote glacial lake that spans the Chile-Argentina border. After a long journey, we finally arrived at the quiet village Puerto Rio Tranquilo. I shot this picture from a boat left from the village's port. And I have more close-up photos to share of course! :)

Sunrise on the Margarita Island
This is a beautiful sunrise of the first day of October on the island of Margarita. I did not have to go far, it was leaving my house. Definitely for me it is a privilege to be able to see both the sunsets and the sunrises in this area.

Today I want to show you a another beautiful view of the hill "Guayamurí" from a house. This hill is one of the natural monuments of Venezuela, located specifically in the northern area of the Isla de Margarita (Venezuela). The view of this hill recalls, in its form, the famous Japanese volcano "Fujiyama".

This is the "Parque Nacional Quebrada del Condorito", in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. Part of a protected area of 150,000 hectares. One of the highlights of the area is the presence of a significant number of species from the high peaks of these mountain ranges. The most popular being the condor, that I had the chance to see during my visit.

Magdalena River in San Agustin, Colombia
San Agustin in Southern Colombia is most famous for its ancient statues, but the nature around the village is really beautiful as well. Not only is there one of South Americas highest waterfalls, but also the rapids of the Magdalena river.
