I rarely get up early to walk and still get out in time to see the sun rise. I wonder, did I get lucky because the only day I got was so beautiful? Or maybe if I took a picture of this moment every day I would eventually find even more splendor? Morning walk of 4 km at Joaquina Beach in Florianópolis - Magia Island - Santa Catarina - Brazil.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:
At the ending of the day, when the sun is setting and the sky shine of warm colours comes the best time to get the board out. Bali is a nice place to do so and I always loved sitting on the beach watching the show!

A group of them have got used to visit the anchorage several times a week and were happy to pose in front of my camera. I'm sure they have heard about @czechglobalhosts and wanted to be posted for the Australian Monday contest. Done !

Ice soldiers. The coast of Baltic Seaa t Sventoji, Lithuania. A small city about 40km from Klaipeda. The remaons of old piers looks just stunning after certain periods of cold weather with ice hats on the tops caused by constantly hitting waves. This evening was very calm and got some colors only at the very sunset. A bit of long exposure to "move" the clouds. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #62 - winner announcement!
@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:
Tinghir Ruins, Morocco. Until a few decades ago, houses in Tinghir, a small town in Morocco, were built next to the river. Now that tap water is available and a convenient access to roads and infrastructure has become more important, these mud-brick houses have been abandoned. The ruins located in the green oasis make for some great exploring!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #62 - winner announcement!
@photovisions European Thursday entry:
Amazing Skagsanden beach in norwegian Lofoten islands offers many photographic oportunities - one side of this very long beach has amazing patterns created on the white and black sand, changing after every water flow, in other part of the beach, during low tide, we can find amazing rock formations and small ponds with sea life in them. The best thing that the camping site is just next to these beauties.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #62 - winner announcement!
@justinmullet North American Friday entry:
Chasing Fog. As a nature photographer it pays to visit your favorite spots again and again. South Skookum Lake, while beautiful on any day, was especially striking on this morning three years ago. It's one of the quietest places around in late October, and except for my boots on the wet ground, the only sounds were the ones nature was providing.

Lago General Carrera
This particular shot was from the summer I spent in Chile and Argentina in 2011, and is a photo of the great Lago General Carrera. The water is ubelievably blue, and in early summer the wildflowers are so vibrant and goregous!

This picture was taken today, just a few hours ago. I made my daughter walk more than ten miles with me, and on the way back, after she had spent a good time playing in the waves with her friends, it was time for sunset. I found these clouds shaped like bird's wings interesting. On the other side, toward the sea was a rainbow. Campeche Beach - Santa Catarina - Brazil

Tiwanaku is the name of a pre-Inca civilization that dominated the central Andes between the 5th century and the 11th century. The site of Tiwanaku, Peru contains many secrets, but it is rather a small hut on the edge of the site that caught my attention. Made with dirt and branches, the contrast with the modern bike is nice.

Salinas y Aguada Blanca Nat'l Reserve, Arequipa. Drove through the reserve on the way from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon. The views of the mountains, valleys, flora and fauna were amazing. Special treat was seeing lots of llamas, alpacas, and vicunas quite close to the road and a small herd of guanaco in the distance. The reserve also contains beautiful lagoons and wetlands - the habitat of birds including flamingos and crested ducks.
